Poured dark brown with a reddish hue to it. This was actually a pretty good belgian dubbel. Aroma was yeast, dark fruits, and malty with some yeast coming through. Flavor was pretty rich and malty. A little alcohol came through and maybe the slightest metallic taste. Very solid beer though.

Sep 17, 2008 Garnet colored...impressive off-white creamy head. Nuttiness, dark fruit, caramel and brown sugar on the nose. You can definitely taste it’s Belgian influences but it just doesn’t stand up to the smaller batch beers in terms of complexity. A nice transitional brew. Inexpensive and tasty, but not amazing.

Sep 12, 2008 Mahogany with a medium off-white head. Aroma of fruit, brown sugar, nuts and bubblegum. Taste of brown sugar, nuts, toffee and fruit. Semi-dry nutty finish.

Sep 10, 2008 On tap at brewery. Golden brown with a fizzy tan head. Malty raisin aroma and taste, but nothing special.

Sep 5, 2008 I think I’m just not a dubble kinda guy. I like the tripple but this was way too bubbly and sweet.
