Dark caramel body with nice frothy white head. The aroma is really fruity. Raisins there certainly. Flavor has a nice sweet malt character to it with a nice doughy touch and quite yeasty. Very nice beer. But definitely better Dubbel’s.

Sep 17, 2008 Garnet colored...impressive off-white creamy head. Nuttiness, dark fruit, caramel and brown sugar on the nose. You can definitely taste it’s Belgian influences but it just doesn’t stand up to the smaller batch beers in terms of complexity. A nice transitional brew. Inexpensive and tasty, but not amazing.

Sep 12, 2008 Mahogany with a medium off-white head. Aroma of fruit, brown sugar, nuts and bubblegum. Taste of brown sugar, nuts, toffee and fruit. Semi-dry nutty finish.
