3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Transfer from BA review on 11-14-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a light golden color with lots of little carbonation bubbles seen streaming up through the brew. Upon pouring there is a one finger of pure white head that fades rather rapidly at first, but ends up leaving a very persistent film on the surface of the brew and a nice level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is biggest of a citrus hop smell of a sweeter grapefruit and lemon nature. Along with these aromas are some nice tropical fruit smells of papaya, mango, and tangerine. Other more bready smells, some hop aromas of a herbal and grassy smell, as well as with a little bit of yeast and spice, meld with the rest to produce a rather sweet and fruity hopped aroma overall.
Taste – The taste is much drier then would have been anticipated from the nose. It begins with a light fruity sweetness of some light tropical fruits and tangerine. By far the strongest flavor upfront is a biscuit and bready flavor which is combined with some grapefruit and lemon hop tastes. The sweeter flavors fade as the taste advances with the bready flavors transitioning to a more cracker like flavor. The grapefruit and lemon hop grows stronger as the taste moves on as well, and combines with some other hop flavors of an earthy, herbal, and grassy nature more toward the end of the taste, to leave a rather dry malt and moderately hopped flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker and chewier side for a Belgium IPA of only 6.1 % abv with a carbonation level that is on the average to slightly above average side. The thicker and chewier body really accentuates the hop and dry flavors of the brew, while the carbonation level add a nice level of a tantalizing feel on the tongue to match the hopped nature of the brew. Overall it was rather nice for the flavor profile of the beer.
Overall – A fairly nice and tasty IPA with a good blend of citrus hop and drier malt with a body and aroma that produce a rather nice drinking brew overall.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Light golden body. Frothy, white head, lasting. Aroma of resin, raw grain, citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light nose for an IPA, especially a white IPA that one would expect more citrus and more spice.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[Bottle] Pale golden pour with a fluffy looking white head. Has a slight haze to it. Nose is of citrus hops, without much wheat character. Flavors include wheat malt, floral hops, grapefruit, lemongrass and bitter citrus zest in the finish. A nice beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a soft pale white with two fingers of rocky white head. Nose is soft and fruity with some floral and spicy character showing. Very lean and dry in the flavor with the spice and bitterness being accentuated. Has a weird ’poultry’ character in the flavor. Not too sure what I think about this.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a pale straw color (looks like Miller Lite), thin white head with okay retention and lacing. Nose is grainy malts, some floral hops, wet cardboard, piss. Mouth is medium bodied up front, then gets watery, grass, some grapefruit, bread with bitterness throughput. Sadly, this is about what I’ve come to expect from NB beers: average.
