3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 Pours a very light straw with mild sediment, thin foam head and OK lacing. Aroma is fresh hops, citrus and rind. Taste is full with wheat lending a little smoothness to the pale malts trying to balance the grassy hops. This is pretty decent and a bit underrated.
Pours a light gold with fleeting white head. Aroma is citrus - lemon and grapefruit. Taste is hop forward, with plenty of juicy citrus, and a moderately bitter grassy finish. Tasty IPA. 7+3+9+3+14=3.6

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells of hops, lemon, grapefruit....maybe even a little pine. Light yellow in color, almost clear, the look reminds me of SN Kellerweis. Good amount of carbonation. Very tasty on the palate...nice hop level...very citrusy lemon, but very smooth, refreshing!. Will definitely buy more. Surprised its a winter seasonal. I would drink this year round though :)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Looks are deceiving. Very light non-descriptive color but nice combination of lemon, grapefruit and slightly sweet rye malts that finishes with a clean bitterness. I could drink this any season. Good stuff.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer didn’t look great out of the bottle. Large foamy head on top of a bland light gold. Looked like an adjunct. The smell was pretty good with a grapefruit sent and decent hops. Lacing was great. I rated this before reading about it, so I don’t really know was New Belgium was going for. This is a bit better than ordinary.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is nice, if not a strange choice for a winter seasonal. But then, I usually like drier lighter styles in the winter, rather than the big sweet beers, even when its cold and I’m not lingering in the Florida heat. But I like this beer in any season. The hop nose is fresh, citrusy lemon rind and grapefruit juice. Malts are soft fruity, dry finish. As an aside, this is a great beer for food, I had it with spicy tacos loaded with serranos and it helped with the heat. I could easily imagine it going with burgers and pizza or hot wings, or even spicy thai food and curries.

4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is the best IPA that new Belgium makes. Pours a surprisingly light color but has lots of hops. A good aroma of citrus permeates this refreshing beer, capped by a nice white head.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: pours a very very light yellow color, beer is clear, has a large white head that retains well
Aroma: pine, grass, hoppy, smells good, perhaps some bread,
Taste: hoppy pine and grass, perhaps some citrus, hints of yeasty bread, has a light and mild yeast flavor while being hoppy at the same time
Palate: has a light mouthfeel, does leave a slight hop aftertaste, a bit frothy, vibrant carbonation
Overall: very interesting beer, I like the combination of almost wheat beer with hops,
