Accumulation White IPA was inspired by the white beauty that falls each winter from our Colorado sky. Flurries of Mosaic and Amarillo hops bring soft fruit and citrus flavor, followed by a layer of bitter. Piled high in IBUs, Accumulation will make your winter brighter.

Clear, light gold pour, with thin white head that lingers and leaves soapy lacing. Aroma is dominated by a light, sweet, overripe orange juice note, with subtle hints of Belgian yeast. The hops turn up a notch in the mouth, with light overtones of spoiled orange juice??? A little odd, though indeed hop centric. Mouthfeel is light and watery, with subtle, delicate carbonation. Nothing inspiring, though for $1.32 for a single bottle at TJ's, I can't complain that I tried it... Though won't buy again. Would be way better on a hot summer day outdoors. Who at NB thought a light, hoppy, wheat beer would be good as a winter seasonal? ..probably the marketing team. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Just a note that "white IPA" may be the stupidest faux sub-style out there - is that so I donít subtract points on appearance? Pretty good aroma, but single note - and that note is very amplified in the flavor. One note hop punch. In the boil hop flavor too. No head by the (seconds) time I was able to rate it, some lacing, just because NB doesnít make crap. Overall, nothing good, but not a ding to the brand. pass

Bottle from SAMs. Pale golden pour with a steady medium sized white head. Aroma is pretty lacking--some dirt, earthy hops, herbal. Flavor is icky. Ugh. How do they manage to do this?

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2015 suprisingly good. was mostly just intrigued by the airstream on the bottle and the white ipa category but really liked it. defintiely fruit-forward- seems almost brighter than your regular ol ipa. really light and refreshing on the palate. Interesting hops (not your usual c, c & c) and with a bitterness on the finish but not lingering. decent for sipping on its own- not overpoweringly hoppy. interesting choice for a winter season- more spring/ summery to me, but chalk up another solid brew from New Belgium. Had on tap at Co. in Charleston. Still good and refreshing but perhaps not quite as interesting as the first time around. Pretty mellow finish for an IPA- the spicy asian fare could stand up to a slightly bigger brew. 12/25/2014 Even mom likes one- having some as she makes Bouillabase. Nice balance- drinks really crisp. Somewhat slick mouthfeel. Distinct tangerine, pine, herb and resinous notes. Crisp finish. Really tasty.

pours a hazy golden with a thick fluffy white head. aroma is lots of floral hops and some mild citrus. the taste is same characteristics as aroma. overall, this is a very good beer and is the first white ipa i have ever had, definitely give this a try.

Pours a pale golden color with a one inch white head. Body has a slight haze and a good amount of effervescence. Lacing and head retention are above average. Smell is of lemongrass, citrus rind, belgian yeast found in trippels. Light piney hops linger through out. Aromas are similar to a shandy. Taste is light and refreshing. A light lemon peel bitterness solidifies that this beer is an IPA. Pale straw malts lighten the flavor and at 6 percent, alcohol is slightly there. Mouthfeel is also light and well carbonated. Head dissipated halfway through unfortunately, Overall this beer is a good APA/IPA but im really puzzled as to why New Belgium chose to brew this as a Winter Seasonal. 2 below and Snow Day were some of my favorite winter seasonals and to replace them with a lighter bodied/flavored pale ale is unfortunate. Would have preferred to see this one as a summer seasonal but its still a solid beer.

Poured from 12oz bottle. still not really sure about this white ipa thing, but to each itís own I suppose, pours a pale yellowish gold with a thin white head and no lacing or head to speak of, looks like a pale lager, but I guess thatís the point, aroma has a decent amount of citrus and fruit, surprising actually how much, the flavor has a nice citrus and fruit front end with a dry finish, mouthfeeel is pretty solid, all around pretty drinkable ipa and at a nice price point as well.

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Gold and clear with a white head and lacing. The aroma is pine, citrus hops, tropical fruit and light malts, pretty dank. Similar flavor, pretty bitter and hoppy with crackers, malts and black pepper. Medium body with a dry finish. Overall, a pretty tasty IPA.

12 oz single from Trader Joe in Salem. $1.35 Pours a very pale yellow ( for an IPA), large frothy white head..very pale . The aroma is reasonable enough..grassy/lemon hops and biscuity malts. Taste is very nice again lemon, grass, crackers and a bit of wheat. OK Nice enough smooth mouthfeel. OK beer but for me more of that "new style" IPL than IP
