3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to pint. Looks decent; a transparent gold with white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes of citrus hops with a nice, light mouthfeel. Good beer.

Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, very unclean.
Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Seriously? What the hell. I am absolutely perplexed by NB’s direction anymore. Even if you ignore the fact that, once again, they’ve created a "winter" seasonal that has none of the qualities one would expect from winter beers (sweet, rich, possibly spiced, boozy/warming, etc.), they have created a so-called White IPA with virtually zero aromatic elements of EITHER style. Almost no hops in the nose, and I couldn’t find any witbier spices. Now maybe "White" IPA means something totally different to the Salazars (the picture of snow on the label?), but even the IPA aromatics are all but missing. Worse, though, instead of smelling like nothing, the odors it *does* have smell like a mess of chemicals...imagine walking through a glue factory. And the dirty aftertaste confirms that my nose is correct...it actually made me wince from the resemblance to drinking solvents or modeling glue. I’m beyond perplexed, honestly...what am I supposed to do with this? How can anyone, especially NB, make something this terrible and apparently not even realize it? And nope, it ain’t the glass, ’cause I used the same one (with a good rinse in between, of course) that I used for the Wasatch white IPA review. Truly amazing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at SB. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a loose white head that sticks around, leaving plenty of webby lace. Big spicy nose, lots of coriander and clove and white pepper. Mild fruity counterpoint. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Nice tangy sweetness played off against white pepper and light wit spice esters on the mid palate, with a finish that gets progressively cloudier and stickier as the pint goes on. Not too bad overall.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle:   Pale straw, moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Soft grainy/earthy hop aroma.   Seems like the signature New Belgium with that soft earth/grainy profile that irks me.   Hop bitterness seems minor.   Somewhat of a fruity herbal start, followed by some muted/stale citrus peel, then to the grainy/earthy notes.   Not real bright.   Pedestrian if you ask me.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Feels like a somewhat stale earthy Pale Ale if you ask me as its not all that hoppy.   Meh...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light golden with a soft snow white head that leaves a light bit of lacing. Aroma is sweet and succulent with some light notes of spruce, some juicy passion fruit. Full bodied flavor with some light bitter citrus notes, some mango fruitiness, a touch of maple syrup sweetness. Mouthfeel has a nice stickiness to it. Excellent.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Draught House. Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor are basic IPA. I get some citrus and pine notes with a hint of biscuit malt and a low amount of bitterness. Basic, but enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Nice looking, light golden color with a big bright white head that clings to the glass quite impressively. There’s a light citric aroma. The beer drinks with a very even-keeled balance of acidity and smooth, light malt. Very drinkable. (#5321, 11/10/2013)
