3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Slightly hazy straw gold pour with a 1 finger, fluffy white head that has great retention and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is toast, citrus, a little tart stone fruit and the signature New Belgium weird grainy malt notes that I can never quite identify. Flavor is sweet malt and toast up front, grass, sweet grapefruit, acidic hop bite and New Belgium toasty grainy notes. Light body with a dry feel throughout, has a medium, blanketing and sharp carbonation and somewhat astringent finish with that snappy, sharp acidic hoppy bite that is pretty intriguing. Good overall, but not much going on.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Translucent golden yellow. No head. Satisfying aroma containing notes of sweet malted wheat. bubblegum, citrus, vanilla, and hops. Light bodied and smooth. Hops are immediately present and linger throughout the entire duration of the taste. Other present flavours include citrus, a smooth wheat backbone, and a spruce finish. I would have preferred a more prominent white flavour, but still quite good.

Draught at Old Chicago Plaza 205, Portland
Hazy blond color, creamy head. Smooth beer; the malt base is sweetish but non descriptive; the hopping is very good, fresh, fruity, peachy, citrusy, and a bit musky.

1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
From pictured bottle. Pale ale with things floating around in there. Taste is fairly pointy and astringent. Yes, difficult citrid taste. Chewing on green lemon rinds. Smell is simple compared to the flavor impact. Perfectly on style. Even covers any sense of carbonation. Just glad to have it during these difficult times.

Citrus hops dominate the nose. Clear pour with a thick white head. Leaves nice lacing. Taste is citrus hops and pale malt. Palate is a little watery but you could drink this all day. Overall a good white ipa. Balanced.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours yellowish with a moderate white head that leaves some loose lacing. Citrusy, firm hop bitterness, but light in the body and quite refreshing. There’s just a little malt, which I like. Like a very light, mild bread. Complimentary straw and soft herbal character blends nicely with the stronger citrus component. Definitely could see this working well in the spring and summer but it’s good now too.
