COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alpine might be small, but their brewing chops are mighty. We teamed up to create this triple dry-hopped imperial IPA bursting with Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe hops. Consider yourself a hero for getting an Alpine beer outside of San Diego.

Slight hazed gold-light orange. Some lace moderate carb. This one may have been aged for who knows. Aroma of a stronger spice/herbal.With fruit notes-tropcial.Some heavy buiscuit/toast malt. Taste is malty, complex hoppiness with floral- fruit still dominated by a spice-herbal and toastiness.Farily sweet but balanced with bitter. Pretty good imperial but a bit sweet and flat tasteing a little.

Had this one while watching the super bowl this year... unfortunately it was no good luck charm, but a good beer though. Solid DIPA

Pours a very clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Bitter flavor, grapefruity, toasted malty and pine hops. Bitter, dry and almost herbal. Dry and bitter finish.

Initial consumption, just minutes after the growler fill, from a Sam Adams lager glass. Poured clear golden with visible carbonation. The rather sudsy white head leaves the glass partially coated with spots of sticky lace but is not very durable. A: markedly strong hop aroma. High ABV easily detected, at least after warming a bit. T: hints of honey. The hop component starts citrusy but turns piney by the finish, with grapefruit in the aftertaste. Enough malt here is significantly reduce the bitterness from what I would expect give the strong hop aroma and taste. Medium body and carbonation. Slight harshness despite being a 9% DIPA. O: a strongly aromatic and hoppy DIPA without the challenge of extreme bitterness. The hop component is too resiny and not as citrusy as i prefer. Based on small samples of 2 other IPAs before selecting a fill, I’ll like this less that the Stone Anniv. IPA (I’ll be going back for it) but more than the Harpoon Leviathan IPA.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4831) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
From the February 2013 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a large creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish pineapple, tropical fruits and sugar. The flavor was sweet and yeasty with notes of pineapple, tropical fruits and sugar and touches of pepper and herbal hops underneath. Long finish of pineapple , tropical fruits, sugar and yeast. Moderately full bodied. Excellent.

From 22 ounce bottle. Grassy, pungent aroma. Bold citrus and grapefruit taste with a bitter finish, almost too much. Floral aftertaste.

Yellow orange color, small head and good lacing. Smells of lemon and grass. Taste grapefruit and pine needle. Bitter but not too bad. Good mouthfeel. Hides alcohol well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. brown bomber bottle. Poured out a hazy tangerine color, with no head at all. Sticky lacing left down the side of the glass. Aromas are hops. Pine trees, not the real kind, but those things you stick in your car to cover up a puke smell are dominant. Sickening resin flavors ruin what could have been a decent beer. No malt aromas or flavors. A hop bomb for certain. Alcohol is well hidden. Tastes like licking a rusty can lid. Not my cup of tea for sure.
