3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Sam’s, Durham. Had a few of these and all I can say is that I hope fervently that they bring this one back semi-regularly. There are a few folks who seem ever so slightly indifferent to the creamsicle qualities you often get with Alpine, but I am a total slut for it. It’s not all over this beer, as the abundant fruits have to do time with the more sere dry-hopping. But it’s hugely floral, complex but assertive, in many ways a real model of the style. Absolutely delish.

Must be one of the last bottles floating around, Thanks to Chris for sharing, I did not think I’d get another chance at it. I must say the nose on this beer is fantastic! even after my glass sat for several minutes I can still smell melon-ey/citrus/jungle fruit hops all over the place. Probably the high point of this brew for sure. Very light golden color with medium-froth head. Very light lacing. Taste gets very sweet as it warms but when cool it is quite a hoppy little treat. lots of simcoe in nose and taste. Finish is not the long nasty (good) kind I’m accustomed to with big dipa’s. Props to the callabo with Alpine. Nice we could get it something from them (sorta) in Michigan. Overall awesome beer that we won’t see again but maybe thats its destiny! Prost!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a very light golden color. The aroma is full of hops and very floral. The taste is a Little too bitter, wanted more of a clean finish which it did not have.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Semi-clear, light orange pour with a frothy white head. Citrus, tropical fruit and biscuit aromas. The taste totally caught me off guard. Initial flavors of caramel and semi-sweet citrus eventually turns into a bitter, resin finish. A strong malt backing keeps the hoppiness very smooth and mellow. A slight alcohol warmth can be detected when it hits your stomach. Well carbonated with a dry texture. A very enjoyable IPA that doesn’t destroy your taste buds with too much bitterness.

Interesting IPA -- very citrusy, almost orange in taste, and not very bitter/hoppy.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours with a dense good sized off white head on top of a clear gold body. The nose if full of fresh mixed citrus, grapefruit, pine and some underlying malt. Moderately sweet with more bitterness. In the mouth, lots of grapefruit, other citrus, sweet fruit, some caramel, and a nice amount of bitterness that continues in the finish. Body is medium. Very good.

Pours a nice orange/gold color. Medium, white head that goes away fast. Smells like a lot of hops with some citrus. Tastes about the same. It has a nice upfront of citrus finishes with a dry hoppy bitterness. Not bad. It grows on you too.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draft at Bruisin’ Ales in Asheville. Pours a bright light orange with a light foamy white head. Nose is resiny citrus hops, nearly pungent and hinting at a bit of sweetness. Super fresh and smells amazing. A bit sweet on the taste and sticky on the palate, but great for a small amount.
