COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alpine might be small, but their brewing chops are mighty. We teamed up to create this triple dry-hopped imperial IPA bursting with Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe hops. Consider yourself a hero for getting an Alpine beer outside of San Diego.

Pours a nice sunset orange color with a finger white head. Dissipates slowly and leaves a soapy lacing. Smells of dank pine, some grass, grapefruit, pineapple, a little mango, lemon. Some sweetness from the malt. Taste starts with a nice dose of pineapple, grapefruit, and other fruits. Some bitterness. Very creamy mouthfeel from the start. Then get the carmel malt in the middle along with more astringent bitterness and citrus fruits. Finishes very bitter, but still get some sweetness and the creaminess of the beer somewhat relieves the bitterness. Not the most balanced, but this is meant to be a west coast style ipa. Pretty full body with no alcohol detection on the nose or the taste, but does go down somewhat warm. As it warms, it gets much better. Gets much more complex with more citrus fruit and pine flavors from the hops. Nicely done.

Pours clear golden color with white head. Pine, citrus, and floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Just an average IPA, nothing special.

On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A medium amber ale, with a bit of white head. No mention of peppers in the listed description, but they are sure by gosh there! They combine mightily well with the hop brigade to provide a very interesting diversion from the usual swill. Well done!

Horrible horrible beer. Curry flavored ipa which is really sweet and coco nutty. Smells like coconut and pours a light yellow. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2012 bottle and on tap: pours golden with a light white head. The hops are amazing. Bright citrus along with piney resin flavor. Malt is balanced. As with anything from Alpine, a great beer!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Been looking forward to this one... Pours a nice toasted golden with a steady fine white foam sheet with central dome. Smells of sweet pine, resin, grapefruit, sweet malts and hints of alcohol. Smells solid enough to drink. Not mind blowing, but very nice. Flavor is sweet, biscuity malts, bitterness, oranges, grapefruit meat, cotton candy, and some peaches. Medium bodied on slight syrup with low carb and a slight, warm finish. This beer is nice, and I enjoy it. Strong work between the two and a good buy while available. Serving type: bottle 09-04-2012

Funny name, somewhat 1970s. Massive aroma with so much pine (I get what others note about resin) that it becomes vegetable-like...onion, maybe a bit chemical, too. Good appearance with hazy yellow/peach, white head. The flavor didn’t end too badly, actually. Long finish. Reasonably well rounded. Shared with a neighbor in celebration of my wife’s 43rd birthday. Happy birthday, honey! Bottle.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste citrus, pine, bitter. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at falling rock. This is a bright yellow gold with a nice head. Smells of straight up hoppy goodness lots of citrus an a bit o pine. Flavor is bitter pine rezsin and clementines. Finishes with a lingering sweet and grassy citrus.

Nice bright citrus and pine aromas even a little tropical; ample hops. Moderatly bitter and balanced. Good IPA for sure but not quite super. Sure wouldn’t mind another one though.
