COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Alpine might be small, but their brewing chops are mighty. We teamed up to create this triple dry-hopped imperial IPA bursting with Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial and Simcoe hops. Consider yourself a hero for getting an Alpine beer outside of San Diego.

This is quite an impressive IPA. New Belgium usually brew average at best beers (and this pisses me off to no end when they have skill to brew La Folie - one of the single best beers I’ve tasted!), however Alpine has a history of brewing excellent IPA’s. This collaboration is fantastic, and rivals Russian River’s Pliney the Elder. Draft at Papago 9/24/12: Pours to a clear, light straw yellow colored body with a medium white colored head. Aroma is fresh grapefruit, citrus, slight pine hops, but with a bit of lemon and fresh grassy notes. Taste is probably this beer’s best showing, with strong in your face hops right up front - almost peppery in their intensity, lemon, grass, pine, and a distinct amarillo flavor that I love. The intense hop bitter flavors continue throughout the drink, leaving a lasting slightly fruity lemony hop bitterness that lingers long after you swallow. Mouthfeel is clean, crisp, light-medium bodied. Totally focused on the hops, and the freshness and intense bitterness of the hops here feel more intense than others of its ilk. Worth your time to find this one.

On draft at Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest 2014. Must be a new batch. Golden orange pour, slight haze, and a white head. Citrusy hops, grapefruit, pine, tropical fruit sweetness, mild caramel, bitterness, and fruity. Pretty tasty.

Keg @ Bier Baron. Deep gold with a small head. Nose has some stewed vegetable. Melon. Citrus and honey. Taste is similar. Canned peas with lemon and honey. Some bread. Light bitterness. Moderate carb.

This beer pours a very clear golden color with a large white head, and the aroma blends citrus and resin hops with some light biscuity notes. The taste is mildly bitter and mildly sweet with more of the bitterness becoming momentarily pronounced in the aftertaste. The palate fuses a slick texture, medium-light body, and an average carbonation.

On Tap at the River Room, Whole Foods, Boise Slightly hazy golden orange with a thin fleeting of white head. Classic pungent hop bitter aroma. Hop forward flavors lots of citrus and pine flavors. The Simcoe really makes it I think. A little thick on the palate and a pleasant lingering bite. A hefty sipper .

On tap at Rozi’s. $14 growler. Smell is very dank, has green flash written all over it from the begining. Nice golden color, solid off white head. Flavor is more dank hops, weed, grass, resin. There is a hint if new belgiums fruitiness. Some malt in there and some savory garlic-food thing. Nice, good and drinkable.

Growler, from the recent batch brewed at Alpine. Clear golden pour with a white head. Citrusy hop aromas. All kinds of citrus and grapefruit hop notes. Good body and mouthfeel.

On tap at the magic tree, nice place for tasting rare beers on tap. OK, so whats the up with super? Does that mean better behaved or more like a rude? Go figger. next is ultra ipa. Looks like any other beer, pale yellow. Has typical low co2 feel on the tongue;. Mouth coating fresh oily feel, like liquid soap. BO on the aroma, such a contemporary ipa thang. Bittermedicine on the tongue what else can be said? Super or not this is terrible on ipa style. Green chewing on rinds grapefruit. Not as rude as most ipa but make no mistake, this is kick ass. Probably least appreciative beer today.

Pours pale yellow with thick white head. Aroma of citrus, stone fruit, and wheat. Taste is stone fruit, citrus, cherry, melon. Very smooth and refreshing. No booze at all. Very dangerous. Mouthfeel is medium. Overall excellent triple IPA. One of the best ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at PreFunk. Hop resin rules the day, overload of pine, dry sappy bitterness. Slightly hazy pour with small creamy white head. Hops on the nose and full force in the taste. Dry sweet finish. This is what IPAs are all about.
