Commercial Description:
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

on tap at a Denver restaurant.I find pilsners simple and boring in general - watery and not very complex. This beer holds up to this opinion for me, but was unoffensive, highly drinkable, and more flavorful than macros - subtle light malt flavors with the faintest hop note. Overall: not special, not offensive, not anything really.

A refreshing but not altogether exciting pilsner--but is there really any such thing? The nose is a nondescript malt, the palate is honeysuckle malts backed by clover hops.

12 oz, bb Oct 31, 08 @ NB Hub, Denver Airport. Clear shiny golden with a one-finger lasting head that leaves crunchy lacing. Faint aroma of grain and herby hop. Harsh grainy and pinesol flavor. Light body is crisp, dry and too frothy with carbonation.

Bottle-AR. Poured a brilliant gold with a white lacey head. Crisp palate with plenty of malt flavor. Great balance of crispness and maltiness. A great summer beer.

The beer pours a clear light yellow gold, with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. The nose is sweet acid and citrus with an undertone of aromatic hops. The flavor is light and crisp with a hint of malts and citrus, the finish is lightly bitter. Overall: bla, bla, bla. Nothing special about this beer.

bottle from homer321: pours a very lively and bubbly clear golden hay with a big pillowy white head. aroma is a bnice floral hops that is gentle and delicious a nice sweetness lies behind and some grain aroma ties it all together. flavour has a little bitterness to start but quickly fades into a good sweet malt that is clean, the floral hops are eveident and leads into a small hop bitterness in the finish. great pilsner
