Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Tap at Pizza Luce. Pale appearance, didn’t know what it was, wanted the tick. Crisp on a warm day, refreshing.

A- Pours a golden yellow color with a rather substantial head. S- Smell consists of a light, wheaty malt character. T- Bready, light toasted wheat notes. M- Medium bodied with a lot of carbonation. D- Very refreshing. A great lawnmower beer. Not a whole lot going on here but the clean simplicity wins you over in the end.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle pured clear, bright yellow with a nice white head, spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit weak, malts, hops and some wheat/grain. Taste is mostly sweet (from malts) with a bitter finish. Overall nice and refreshing.

12oz bottle pours with a crystal clear bright gold body that supports an off white head. The mild aroma offers up some lightly sweet pilsner like malts as well as faint floral hops. Not nearly as pungent as I was expecting. The taste is much fuller than the nose led onto with a nice pilsner malt sweetened hop bite that’s floral and a touch lime before it gets into a pleasing degree of hop bitterness. It leaves that classic pilsner malty sort of hoppy after taste. Solid pils that could use a bit more aromatics.

It has a decent golden pour w/ a nice white head that leaves lacing. The aroma is weak & quite boring. The taste is bland but clean. Lagers - ehhh. It’s ok on the palate & has the body of a good beer but that’s about the highest compliment I can give this!

Flute glass. Nice light odor of hay. Pale gold, minimal head and lacing. I was surprised how much flavor this had for a pilsner. Very good.

Pours a clear gold, with a white head. Aroma of light citrus, with hops and grass. Taste is a tiny bit bitter, with nice all around smoothness and drinkability. Thumbs up!
