COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Climb on in and grab a paddle. Our first foray into lagered beers, Blue Paddle Pilsener-Lager, is a Czech style pilsener with a refreshing crispness from noble hops and a rich, malty finish. ‘Blue Paddle’ refers to the implement our warehouse manager’s Grandma once used to lovingly paddle his a** when she caught him stealing sips of her beer. With more body than a traditional Belgian pils, Blue Paddle is reflective of Europe’s finest pilseners.

Caramel, bread, hay, floral, grass. Crisp, clean, very drinkable. Hops are spicy as I’d expect in a pilsner. Nice hops/malt balance. Very good!

Pours brite yellow and clear with substantial carbonation, some sweet malts no hops Nita lot of nada. May be good while hiking on hot day but nothing much for a flavorful beer drinker may like. Some what yeasty too.

Very sippable Pilsner. Not too heavy and yet not too light. Poured with a nice head. Very clear and pleasing finish. Would drink on tap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light gold pour, decent white head. Nose is toasted pilsner malt, hint Euro hops. Bitter. Middle is bread, and cereal. Finish is light bitterness. Eh.

Bottle pours straw gold with a lasting thin lace. Grainy, with lemongrass notes on the nose, lemony, malty medium bodied palate. Overall, I disagree with the low score on this beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ. bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Has a primary malt aroma with some lemon zest thrown in. Appearance- A clear yellow color with a small white head Taste- Has a good malt flavor with a citrus backdrop Palate- a creamy medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Overall- Not a bad brew. I would drink this again.

12oz bottle from Ptaz. Poured a crystal clear golden color with a finger of foamy white head. Aroma and taste of skunk, grass, grain, lager yeast, and a hint of lemon. Meh

It’s winter, so it’s only natural that I decided to drink, er, Blue Paddle Pilsener? Okay, so it’s a little counterintuitive, but I figured, "Ah hell, why not?" Happily New Belgium’s brew works in decidedly non-pilsener weather, too. Blue Paddle has a straw color body and clean head. Smells of bread and some lively hops. Taste is smooth and there’s just enough hop bitterness to keep it from being too sweet. Finish is clean and bright. Blue Paddle may not be particularly exciting, but it’s a no-nonsense thirst quencher... even in the winter.

Bleh. Sour, skunky hop in this one. Not much there to be proud of. Like a bad version of a pale ale, this one is.

12oz. bottle from BevMo. Clear yellow brew with white head. Aroma a little skunky, perhaps sour hops. Taste is very light malt at the start and then a blend of mostly sour hops with a bitter finish. Clean and crisp. Seems to be missing a moderating malt or bread-like fullness. Thin palate. Not memorable.

Decent pilsner. Light going down and more of a summer time beer. Decent but not one if their best
