Big thanks to Americanbrew for bringing this. Pours with a large, foamy, off-white head over a hazed amber body. Aroma is funky with horse blanket, citrus-sour. Very lambic like. Taste is very sour with mostly a citrus-sour note and lighter funk. Awesome. Light carbonation.

Bottle from the Otown throwdown. Fogdog with another mad hookup! Pours a nice reddish/orange color with a small head. Aroma is sour cherries, funk, wood, and vinegar. Flavor is sour but the complexity shines in this beer with some cherries, red wine, oak and 3 day old grass clippings.

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94: pours a slightly hazy deep bronze amber with a stringy-lacing off-white head. Has a lightly sweet caramel toffee nose with lots of tart fruity notes and vinous oak. Starts with good effervescence and tartness with a touch of light malty sweetness before a drier puckering finish with some lingering oak.

A: The pour is a dark copper color with plenty of red accents. The head is towering and off-white. S: Lots of acidity in the nose. Mostly lactic sourness, but a fair amount of vinegar as well, along with sour cherries, lemons, and oak. T: The flavor is almost like a more intense La Folie (if that’s possible). Lots of sour cherries, lemons, and green apples. The vinegar is quite noticeable as is a musty funk and tannic oak quality. M: The body is medium with a high level of carbonation and a very puckering and dry finish. D: This is one of the more sour beers I’ve ever had, and I enjoyed it. Lots of great cherry and wood notes, and the vinegar was potent but not over the top.

Draft pour @ Brouwer’s Sour Fest 2009. Cloud dark copper brown body, somewhat muddy/dirty in appearance. Full on acetic nose, the Love character is so easily evident, the woody/nutty apple cider vinegar acetic acid, wonderful aroma. Salty, peppery, spicy, acetic. Bready, muddy, frothy, soft carbonation. Finishes prickly and spritzy. Seems like a dirtier version of La Folie/Love. Good but not great.

Bottle. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing white head. Hazy amber body. Fruity sour grapefruit aroma. Red currants lemon grapefruit flavor with a long and strong bitter aftertaste. Low carbonation.

750mL thanks to Sean9689. Pours a clearish, glowing candy orange with a short lived, denser, white head. Rhubarb and mushroom nose with small green veggies. Taste is sharp, very sour, citric, giant lactic backend. Wickedly salty and mouth watering. Muted but presence acetic heat. Very tough to get through. Disappointing.

Bottle courtesy of Andy at James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a just clear ruby tinged amber. Soft acid on the nose, a bit of fruit. Tangy and bright, lots of lively acid with a bit of fruit and tang. Crisp and lively even with a few years on it. Lingering acid into the finish. Beautiful.
