Bottle w/ Jordan... a lot more lambic-esque then I was anticipating. A ton of sour...very well integrated. One knock is how quickly the finish fades...starts out strong, fades off fast. A damn fine beer.

From notes. Tasted on 3/16/13 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle at our epic Bottleworks tasting with Curtis, Jedi, and crews from Knoxville and Nashville, big thanks to Curtis for sharing. Pours clear amber with a thin beige head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is super sour with nice dark cereal and bread malt and some oaky vanilla underlying. The flavor is very sour, but still nicely balanced by the dark cereal malt and just a touch of vanilla oak. The body is medium with light carbonation, nice tannic structure, and a very long, very sour and light oak finish.

750ml bottle. Been looking forward to this one for awhile. Poured a cloudy golden color with a small sized head. Citrus, funky, tart, fruity, yeast, and some earthy woodiness. I really liked this one and wish I had more than the 1 bottle ...

Bottle at the Pant-y Raid NYE Tasting (Chicago, IL). Pours a nice deep ruby rusty pour, faint haze but near transparent overall, some deep orange sunset glow, frothy offwhite / tannish head atop dies down, laces small. Aromas are cherries, oak, gentle balsamic. Lactic element grows, yogurt and oranges, bigger citrus touches, lemon and cranberry, grapefruit and sour fruit. Touches of bread, straw, crab apple and carmelized flourish. Nice, sour, lambic feel is vibrant, gently carbonated and nice cherry and cranberry slants come in. Firmer oak, touches of pear, crab apple and cranberry. Nice stuff. Initial is touches of hibiscus, cherry and crab apple. Touches of cranberry, oak, berry skin and touches of oranges, oak and lactic yogurt. Some straw, touches of yogurt, oak. Middle shows some cherryskin, touches of cranberry, some gentle carmelized touch with vanilla, some cobwebs, and oak. A bit fuzzy and carbonated on the backend, some bread, straw, citrus rind and juice. Wow. Tasty stuff. Amazingly this has held up very well. Dry, a bit oaky and firmly lactic and a decent carbonation, firm acidity hits but doesn’t get in the way. Thinner body, quite crushable, nice acidity cuts well. Quite tasty, honor to try. Nice fruity sourness, a lot of Felix influence shows through a beer I originally thought would be very Oscar dominant. Not so. Great stuff. Thanks again for the share, pantanap.

Thanks for sharing Kan! ’Clear orange with a thin head. Really acidic nose with hay and lactic acid. Sour lactic acid some cherries. Really acidic and tart. But it warms up on me. The acid and fruit blend well. Good stuff. 8/4/9/4/17

Bottle at Clockwork’s 4K/5K/10K gathering. Pours a deep amber reddish brown body with thin off white lacing. Aroma is incredible - sour fruits dominate with funky cherries taking the lead. Mouthfeel is medium and perfectly tart with notes of sour cherries, funk, rich vanilla, oak and a touch of earthiness in the finish. A great sour ale. Awesome!

Bottle courtesy of Andy at James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a just clear ruby tinged amber. Soft acid on the nose, a bit of fruit. Tangy and bright, lots of lively acid with a bit of fruit and tang. Crisp and lively even with a few years on it. Lingering acid into the finish. Beautiful.
