Bottle. Deep reddish amber with a thick foamy white head that fades a bit leaving some nice lace. Nose is sugary and fruity, passionfruit for sure, some apricot, peach, light grapefruit. As it warms a bit, some diacetyl creeps in slowly overpowering the fruitier aromas. Flavor is similar, diactetyl is light but so is this beer so it makes itself known. Toasty, light butter, light grapefruit in the finish. About what I expected.

Light copper orange in color... Aroma of light citrus hops... Flavor is light crisp malts with notes of citrus, grapefruit and nice hop bitterness on the palate... Nice pale ale as usual from new Belgium

12 ounce bottle. Pours a nice copper with a foamy, one inch, beige head that lasts. Taste is of caramel, grass, hops, citrus, fruit and some malt. Has a similar, but softer aroma. The body is smooth and a bit thin. The finish is mostly clean with some dryness. Easy to drink and a good way to welcome spring.

Grassy, refreshing, crisp without sacrificing mouthfeel, and mildly silky; this pale ale is an unsuspecting pleasure, from a beer company that generally doesn’t impress me. Not the best pale ale in the world, but it rolls well on a hot day.

Decent pale. Typical of New Belgium in that there is just a little hint of spice . It finishes pretty clean and soft. The lacing is thin and has only a little head. OK, but not my favorite drink.

(bottle) orange-amber with white head. Fruity hop aroma. Flavor is some caramel malt. Interesting mix of hops - citrus, peach, straw. For me it somehow doesn’t come together as much as I was anticipating from the description.

I like it! I’m a huge fan of this brewery and Pale Ales. This hit the mark this spring with the seasonal! A nice rich hoppy flavor. Notes of caramel are there too. Nice citrus finish. Recommended for Pale Ale fans!

Tap old chicago in Manhattan, KS-pours darker orange with a small soapy white head. nose is floral, lite pine, and chalkey notes-flavors are astringent asprin-like bitterness and lite herbal qualities. long asprin like finish. not much going on here-needs work but could have potential with a few tweaks.

Harris Teeter, DC sixer ($8): Pours a brownish color with an off-white head. Aroma is slightly citrusy and also fruity in other ways. Nice hop presence in the aroma. The Nelson and Sorachi hops are very obvious in the taste. It is very easy to differentiate where all the flavors come from. They come together pretty well to form a well-rounded and slightly unique beer. Body is really good as well. It is great for chugging, but has enough complexity to enjoy sip per sip.
