Unearth your bottle-opener because this Pale Ale is something you can Dig. Sorachi Ace hops provides a fresh Spring zing with incredible lemon aroma. Nelson Sauvin is next in line with bursts of passion fruit, mango and peach. American favorites, Cascade and Centennial round out this crisp, clean Pale Ale. Dig in!

Bottle from BevMo. Lightly hoppy, grassy nose. Fairly dry in it’s hop character. A little spice as well. Fairly easy to sip. Not really very interesting though.

Bottle @ Dan’s place, Denver. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, citrussly hops. Taste is rather weak with malt, and citrusly hops, grapefruit. Thin body, average carbonation. 220212

Crisp copper coloured body with a thin tan head and a few hundred very small bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of light crisp hops, some honey, a good dose of malt, fresh pineapple and a touch of passionfruit. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hops up front with a pineapple and grapefruity type flavour, some light malt and a good clean finish. Aftertaste shows a pleasant blend of malt, caramel and the great fresh flavour of the hops really shines through. Overall, a very nice pale with a perfect balance of malt and hops with a slightly tropical almost fruity flavour - great for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant Food in Falls Church (Bailey’s Crossroads), Virginia on 08-February-2012 for US$9.99/6pack sampled at home in Washington on 23-February-2012.

Clear copper pour - moderate, soapy lace - moderately earthy aroma, with a fair amount of zesty, spicy notes and quite a bit of tropical character (mango, papaya) - so far so good - spicy up front, followed by mild tropical notes and a rather innocuous, semi-sweet malt character - fairly characterless aside from the hops, which are tasty, but fairly one-dimensional - the Nelson hops don’t present nearly as much as I was hoping - it’s okay - another "let’s please the masses" brew from New Belgium.

Nice aroma, right off the bat almost smells like a fruit soda with bright sweet citrus. Appearance rather dark for a pale ale undertone of red which come out in the light that shines through the brew to the point I almost though per of my glass had a red tint.. Taste a hit of bitter hops then a hit of sweet ripe fruit that work one another out into a balanced finish. Palate, nice body but over all just fairly average. Overall, a nice addition to the typically sweet spring brews, it has sweet not but over all far more heavy than you average "spring seasonal"

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a clear amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is light herbal hops and toasted malt. Flavor is the same, but a little more malt forward. The hop flavor lingers in the finish. Medium body. A nice beer.

Better than expected. Crisp, citrusy and refreshing. Light malt side with hints of caramel, light grains and bread. Bright and aromatic hops with notes of lemon, flowers, hay and earth. Sorachi Ace isn’t overdone like it seems to be in some beers. Peppery bitterness. Overall, I found it to be balanced, tasty and easy-to-drink, and it makes for a good spring/summer session beer.

Pours a clear gold color with a small-medium eggshell white head. Aroma of grassy, citrusy hops, sweet malts, pine resin, and grapefruit and orange peel. Flavor of abundant citrus, maybe more than the nose, with pine resin and caramel malts. Nice malt balance. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a resinous mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness. Good.
