3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a nice goldenrod color. Aroma is grassy, hay and hops. Flavor is solid floral hops up front with a backbone of caramel malt. Sipped one of these while sitting on the back porch on a rare sunny Seattle day recently. Spring has sprung! I dig it.

Pours a clear golden color with white head. Lemon zest, citrus, and floral notes on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a tropical fruit note. Not bad.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste citrus, sweet, grass. I thought this was good. I would drink this again.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice lemony, citrus aroma. However, the taste does not match that well. Citrus, lemon peel, orange peel. Decent beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
July 9th, 2012 - New Belgium’s Ranger is one of the most distinct IPAs available in broader markets, and that gave me high hopes for Dig. These are IPAs true to their Colorado origins. Or at least, they’re not San Diegan IPAs, which have turned into a homogeneous blob in my memory. NB’s Dig is a pleasing foxy orange color, with a mottled head, and your average amount of lacing - no exceptional crowns or laurels of bubbles. The aroma has a mild hops aroma, toasted, with a lovely biscuits-baking-in-the-kitchen aroma. I also catch the slight scent of pickled carrots too, like those found in taco shops across San Diego. The flavor is similar: mild, mild hops, a wonderful well toasted and baked biscuit. Grapefruit bitterness and sweetness provides a bit of a shine, but overall, this IPA comes off as mild, yet springy.

Very heavy citrus presence in both aroma and flavors. Darker color than usual for a pale.

Another brew that tastes like fat tire, but is called a spring seasonal. Not horrible, but better choices out there.

Bottle at Yespr’s - Thanks. Clear golden - white head. Knækbrød, sweetness, toasted, some bitterness, toasted malts, citrus, herbal hoppy notes, a bit simple.

This is the fourth time I’ve had this beer. It’s good.
Pours a golden on copper ale with a finger of off-white foam and excellent clarity. Smells fruity with pineapple, mango, cherry (sweet) and a nice sweet and english malt profile. It tastes sweet and candy like with the hops. I’m really surprised/intrigued with how they get such a sweet beer with the hops - and the hops are obviously fruity and tropical. The mouth is thin with moderate on hi carb and a forgettable finish. I could probably drink this all night, it’s fun, but easy.
