Been holding off on this one but finaly got my hands on it in a good trade...from the bottle pours a nice amber color with a small head but some great lacing throughout ...smell is malty and yeast with a small hint of hops ...taste is the same very malty which gives it a great texture with a hint of hops on the back end this beer is delicious and smooth would have this on occasion ....cheers

22 ounce bottle, enjoy by date of March 30, 2014. It’s been quite a few years since I last had Fat Tire, so now that New Belgium distributes to Ohio I figured I’d pick up a bomber. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear orange/copper color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like toasted, caramel and bready malt, apples, and a bit of herbalness. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there’s also some peppery spice and nuts noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s well carbonated and easy to drink. I think it’s a good amber ale, I’d pick it up again if I was in the mood for this style of beer. $2.99 a bomber.

Mildly bready, not amber by any definition of the word, faint hops, light body, smooth and easy to drink but unremarkable

Solid good tasting amber ale. A hidden fridge filled with fat tire saved me from drinking bud on a wedding.

Pours with good carbonation and a foamy fead. Aroma is of toasted bicuit malt. Standard malt flavor with a bit of spice on the back. Sticky mouthfeel with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Mostly malt

330 ml bottle in Pompano Beach, Fl. Pours a cloudy amber color with white head. Aroma is a caramel and bread. Some earthy notes. Taste is similar. Mostly caramel toffee and biscuits. Pretty crisp and refreshing taste. Medium bodied. Really not any noticeable bitterness.

This is my original favorite amber ale... really my favorite bottled beer for a long while. It's always delicious and always available; a great combination!

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Not in love with this one. Tastes rusty and astringent. Wonky malt aroma. Amber pour without head and or lacing. Tap. High fizzy carbonation.

Malty aroma, almost caramel like smell to the malt. Taste is primarily malt, but not sweet. Bit of a dry finish. Lots of flavor and balanced for an amber. Almost a slight spice to it? Good all around beer. Nothing crazy or phenomenal, but a refreshing and flavorful amber.
