2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20Fat Tire is a super accessible beer and my introduction into the world of craft beers a few years ago. It’s got a special place in my heart. I picked up a six pack and I figured I’d give one a review.
Appearance: A deep but clear amber coloring with a distinct redness towards the top. The head is one finger and just tan enough to say otherwise. Mild carbonation. Attractive and simple
Smell: Malt stands first with a roasty character in the rear. There’s a tart hop somewhere but it comes and goes.
Taste: Malty, a lightness makes it super drinkable. Hopiness is almost completely covered.
Mouthfeel: Light and refreshing. The carbonation cuts all weight the beer has.

On tap... mild malty aroma..dark amber... malt and oak.. nice and crisp.. a little light but good!

Pretty good hoppy flavor but not over the top. It doesn’t give you a lasting after taste like an IPA.

Nice amber ale. Can taste the malty overtones and it is a little bit sweet. There is almost a maple or carmel aftertaste that leaves a good impression.

Consistant, and now in cans. Grest for parties or just lounging. Good aroma and a good staple for any bar

Draft. Pours clear copper with a medium sized white head. The aroma is full of biscuit and is one dimensional. The taste is biscuit and light caramel.

Clear amber/brown with a low lying off-white head. Not much aroma when cold, but a good roasted, woody scent when it gets to temperature. That follows into the taste with a good toasted malt flavor and a bit of creaminess. Caramel sweetness is balanced by earthy hops with a light floral character. Seems to be a touch of sourness but in a way that enhances the flavor. Nice amber ale and very drinkable.

Tried this for first time from bottle on a stop from a road trip on PCH in San Simeo, California. Pours amber with small amount of head. Nice aroma with notes of spice and caramel. Smooth drinking and refreshing. Some bitterness but mostly malty. When i drink one i could easily drink another.

Appearance: clear orange to amber color, moderate size white head, laces nicely Aroma: rich roasted maltiness, biscuit, wood, plum Taste: malty grain, very faintest hints of bitterness, wheat, coffee, wood Palate: frothy, highly carbonated, not much of an aftertaste Overall: a good amber, strong roasted malt notes, the malt seems roasted more than the color suggests ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
