Trev (456), Lakeville, Minnesota, USA May 5, 2008 pours a light amber with a good off white head. Biscuity aroma, underlying ripe fruit hop. Flavour was sweet caramel and toasty malt. Growing bitterness in finish. Smooth and well balanced.
Sparky27 (430), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jul 25, 2008 Bottle. Picked this up in a mixed six pack – haven’t had it since circa 1999 or y2k. Pours a clear amber with 3 finger off white head. Nose is roasted nuts, yeast and malt. Taste is sweet malt, dirt and some hop in the finish. Light mouth feel. Meh, I think I still have the free bottle opener when this first came out. saltebru (13), Ionia, Michigan, USA Jul 25, 2008 Light Amber Color with a nice head. Aroma has citrus with the subtle hint of floral spice and caramel. The caramel leaves a sweet flavor that works well with the citrus and spices. joergen (6148), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 23, 2008 Bottle.
Clear amber coloured with a medium sized white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel, liquorice and yeast with notes of spices and hops.
Sweet flavour of malts, caramel and liquorice with notes of yeast and hops.
Hoppy finish. scooter_bub (139), Lander, Wyoming, USA Jul 21, 2008 22 ounce bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a large, clingy, off-white head that lasts. The aroma is of toasted malts and hops. The taste is of caramel, malts and hops. Leaves me wanting more after each sip. Is a very good beer, as it is easy to drink, tastes great, is moderately priced and is great for various occasions. gymtiger04 (1), , California, USA does not count Jul 20, 2008
