2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JAN 25, 2009 Re-rate: I used to like having this as an alternative to macros when tap/bottle selection was limited... Last night, my wife’s co-worker exclaims "Hey, at least they have good beer here!" I look with great anticipation to discover Michelob Ultra, Corona, and Fat Tire. I think to myself, ’oh well, its been awhile since I’ve had one of those.’ Now it seems that all I get from this is malty, bready, cardboardy nothingness. Hops are no where to be found... It doesn’t suck, but it doesn’t taste like I remember it from 2-3 years ago.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft pour. Pours a translucent amber with a beige froth of foam. Good retention. The aroma is light and malty with a little bit of caramel and bread sneaking in there. Taste is mostly a subdued sweetness that maintains throughout. Light to medium body with a lighter carbonation level. Pretty easy going.

2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A very mild aroma of sweet caramel malt with some minor hopping. A clear light reddish amber with many bubbles, a big fluffy white head and some decent lacing. Taste is extremely mild light malt with mild hop and some mild bitterness on the end. Palate is pretty watery. Overall, very ordinary, nothing stands out about this beer; it just doesn’t have the off flavor of macro beer. I almost swear this beer was hoppier and more flavorful in the past, but this was the first I was patient enough to rate it.

A good based amber to replace all the domestic junk out there! Good beer for introducing people to craft beer!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I love the marketing behind this product. However, I think that the flavor of this beer falls in the sweet category. I like a bit more structure to my beers.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to pint (from notes). Looks solid; a transparent amber with off-white head. Smells and tastes of toasted malt with notes of biscuit and caramel. Average on the palate. Not bad, but I’m not sure why it has the cult following that it does. Probably because of its drinkability, but it’s certainly not exemplary for the style.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A classic. Not my opinion, but a fact. It's a hop/malty light wheat palate, pours amber with a just off white head. 5.2abv, this is a good, good beer for sports.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a nice clear amber with a fairly thick pale buff head. Aroma is malty and a touch fruity, not strong but still inviting. Flavor is mainly malty, with an apple/pear undertone and a hint of hops. Texture has average thickness and fizz. A decent ale and a good go-to beer.
