COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Named in honor of our founder Jeff’s bike trip through Belgium, Fat Tire Amber Ale marks a turning point in the young electrical engineer’s home brewing. Belgian beers use a far broader palette of ingredients (fruits, spices, esoteric yeast strains) than German or English styles. Jeff found the Belgian approach freeing. Upon his return, Jeff created Fat Tire and Abbey Belgian Ale, (assuming Abbey would be his big gun). He and his wife, Kim traveled around sampling their homebrews to the public. Fat Tire’s appeal quickly became evident. People liked everything about it. Except the name. Fat Tire won fans is in its sense of balance: toasty, biscuit-like malt flavors coasting in equilibrium with hoppy freshness.

Appearance: Clear orange, lots of visible carbonation, no head. Aroma: cotton candy, bubble gum, vanilla, hay. Palate: thin, watery, flat, slightly dry finish. Taste: slightly sweet start, moving to a slow dry, bitter finish. This smells awesome and started out great, but that’s about it.

Típica americana, mas com lúpulo mais balanceado. Límpida e acobreada, uma amber com corpo médio e espuma média mas de curta duração. Notada amadeiras e malte. Consegue manter um equilíbrio, refrescanci e garantir um drinkability razoável. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml can from Saveur-biere.com

Pours dark orange with a smooth head. Aroma of fruits and malts. Taste is malty, grassy and easygoing with some caramel and toffee notes. Finish is sweet and malty. Decent, light bodied and easy going amber ale.

35,5 cl can @ home, BBE 22.06(07?).2014
Aroma has resiny hops and some fruits. Feels a bit musty. Also caramel. Flavour has fruity hops, some harsh malt, apricot and caramel. Also some mineral tones. Easy-going and straightforward.

Guess I am just not a fan of amber. Well balanced with a slight malt forward character.Taste has a bit of sweet caramel and toffee. Finish is long but consistent will the taste.

Light aroma, a bit floral. Not much but malt and toast in toast. Easy on the mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Ok as a sessionable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
