douglas88 (592), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA May 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light amber with a small head. The aroma is mostly a nice malt/hops balance. The taste though was much more on the malt side. Really smooth with a bit of caramel and some light hops. OK.
IPAaLLtHEwAY (84), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Jul 8, 2008 This is the most overrated beer by people who know nothing about beer...and I hate those people. They probably like it because it isn’t an assertive beer with much flavor. It’s something different than a macro but still very "safe". Pretty lame but is alright.
ansermadide (138), Kyle, Texas, USA Jul 8, 2008 (Sample from July 7, 2006 Beer Club Meeting, February 23, 2007 Beer Club Meeting; From tap at Craig O’s on July 6, 2008) Light amber color. Smells malty and… orange, if orange was a scent not related to the fruit. Taste is, well, almost of a lager, lightly sweet. No complaints, no imperfections. Just a good, clean amber. johnnysmoke (32), Texas, USA Jul 4, 2008 A dark golden clear color with a white frothy head. The aroma is a touch hoppy and reminiscent of an american wheat. The flavor is a bit bitter and slightly nutty. Some citrus and malts.
djones (50), USA Jul 4, 2008 Brown amber coloration. Malt, caramel, and a hint of citrus in the flavor. Light, smooth, and drinkable. Felt a little watery though and the flavors were far from dazzling. Goes good with classic american fare. johntreeter (57), Greenwood, Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2008 12 oz bottle at Table Rock. I may have gotten a bad 6er. Smell and taste of an old musty basement with water problems. It poured a beautiful golden amber with a big 3 finger head then Ismelled and tasted it and poured it down the drain. I use to drink this brew in AZ a few years back and don’t remember it being this bad, so next time I’m west of the big river I’ll buy a single and re-rate.
