COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Frambozen begins with the aroma of fresh red raspberries, followed by the ripe seductiveness of a fruity brown ale with depth and delicate malt notes. It is deep ruby in color, with flavors just as rich. Every year, New Belgium sends a delegate to the Pacific Northwest to oversee the process of turning freshly picked berries into a pure juice to be added in fermentation. The coming of Thanksgiving at New Belgium is ushered in with the first sighting of our cellar operators scuttling about, covered head to tow in a festive crimson berry wash.

Dark ruby color. Light brown head with a red tinge. Aroma of raspberries. Strangely tart and malty sweet at the same time with hints of chocolate. Very interesting combination of flavors that do seems to pair well.

On tap at beer rev. Clear amber/dark copper with a minimal cap. Served way to cold...... I shall wait. Aroma is clean and tart, raspberry, any very mild toasty malts. Taste is crisp and fresh, tart raspberry thatís not overly strong, not to sweet, perfect malt balance. This is a fruit beer that is still a beer....... donít feel girly drinking this. Carbonation is heavy feels like pop....... The bubbles tickle my lips. I could drink the shit out of this on a hot day. One of the best fruit beers Iíve ever had........ top three for sure.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, ruby in color, minimal white head. Aroma is definitely raspberries combined with cereal notes and some malts. Taste is again lots of raspberries, grain, nice combination of tart fruity notes and sweet malts. Very drinkable.

Pours a clear ruby red with one finger of light tan head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, minimal lacing. (4/5) Nose is mild raspberry, some earthy funk, light caramel malt. (6/10) Taste is mild sweet, mild bitter, mild tart. (5/10) Light bodied, off-dry and mildly tart finish. (3/5) Not as interesting as I was hoping. The aromas are dominated by raspberry, which is fine, but the taste seems to fall a little flat, with neither sweet nor sour living up to the promise from the nose. (12/20)

Tons of raspberry on the nose of this chestnut brown with ruby red highlights pour. Frothy head. Caramel malts with a raspberry mustiness. Sort of brown ale-like in character with raspberries. Not overly sweet or fruity. Very mild tartness. Very well done.

Bottle. Ruby with small off white head. Aroma of raspberries, toasted malt, and light sweetness. Light/medium body, raspberries upfront, toasted malt, light tartness, and a dry finish.

A: Pours a light brownish orange pink. Almost the color of gasoline. slight beige almost pink head with little retention or lace. Great clarity. S: Tart berry smell, almost wheaty scent. maybe a whiff of hops but no "brown ale" smell. T: Follows the nose closely but with the berry tartness upfront and pronounced. Not sweet. Also no real flavors I associate with brown ale. Tastes good though. Different in a good way. M: Light body and nice dry finish. Very drinkable and kind of nice. Iím surprised to say I like it. O:

355ml bottle pours a ruby color with a bubbly off-white head that settles quickly leaving some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is predominantly raspberries with some hints of grains and grass. Taste is tartness from the raspberries and a light grainy malt sweetness with a grassy hop bitterness. Light bodied with medium carbonation that leaves a nice tickle on the tongue. A decent fruity brew that hits the spot.

bottle. Beautiful deep mahogany with small head. Chocolate malt aroma. Quite a bit of chocolate in the flavor as well. Raspberry is present, but not as forward as I expected it to be. Pretty nicely balanced.

Poured from a 12oz bottle. Aroma is like "My Little Pony". Flavor is definitely fruity, sweet and a bit tart. It felt slightly over carbonated. Even though the fruit flavor is raspberry, there was a cranberry like tartness to it.

Unexpectedly nice fruit beer. Pretty ruby red color. Raspberries galore in the nose. Taste was earthy and not too sweet which is what I feared. Still plenty of raspberry to go around. Nice.
