COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Frambozen begins with the aroma of fresh red raspberries, followed by the ripe seductiveness of a fruity brown ale with depth and delicate malt notes. It is deep ruby in color, with flavors just as rich. Every year, New Belgium sends a delegate to the Pacific Northwest to oversee the process of turning freshly picked berries into a pure juice to be added in fermentation. The coming of Thanksgiving at New Belgium is ushered in with the first sighting of our cellar operators scuttling about, covered head to tow in a festive crimson berry wash.

Single bottle from Lemon Tree. Pours a big tan head over a dark ruby body. Major raspberry smell doesn’t let much malt in around it. Taste got a little strong, nearly medicinal. Well, after all, I do have a bit of a cold in my throat, but after the delightful NG Raspberry tart a few days ago, this doesn’t quite measure up.

Bottle. Pours ruby red with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malts and raspberry fruitiness. Flavor of sweet raspberry, toasted malts, roasted grains and had a light tartness.

Aroma is raspberry and sulphur. Taste is pale malts with faint caramel and mostly raspberry tones that are fairly well balanced and not consuming. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Has a awesome amber red in color with a thin white head. Lacing is okay. Aroma consist of raspberries and toasted nuts. Definite raspberries in the taste. Slick feel on the palate that finishes abruptly. Low carbonation. Gives me a clean feeling in my mouth like mouthwash. Easy drinking beer. Recieved from brenn79. Overall enjoyable.

On tap at beer rev. Clear amber/dark copper with a minimal cap. Served way to cold...... I shall wait. Aroma is clean and tart, raspberry, any very mild toasty malts. Taste is crisp and fresh, tart raspberry that’s not overly strong, not to sweet, perfect malt balance. This is a fruit beer that is still a beer....... don’t feel girly drinking this. Carbonation is heavy feels like pop....... The bubbles tickle my lips. I could drink the shit out of this on a hot day. One of the best fruit beers I’ve ever had........ top three for sure.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, ruby in color, minimal white head. Aroma is definitely raspberries combined with cereal notes and some malts. Taste is again lots of raspberries, grain, nice combination of tart fruity notes and sweet malts. Very drinkable.

Pours a clear ruby red with one finger of light tan head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, minimal lacing. (4/5) Nose is mild raspberry, some earthy funk, light caramel malt. (6/10) Taste is mild sweet, mild bitter, mild tart. (5/10) Light bodied, off-dry and mildly tart finish. (3/5) Not as interesting as I was hoping. The aromas are dominated by raspberry, which is fine, but the taste seems to fall a little flat, with neither sweet nor sour living up to the promise from the nose. (12/20)

Tons of raspberry on the nose of this chestnut brown with ruby red highlights pour. Frothy head. Caramel malts with a raspberry mustiness. Sort of brown ale-like in character with raspberries. Not overly sweet or fruity. Very mild tartness. Very well done.
