Frambozen begins with the aroma of fresh red raspberries, followed by the ripe seductiveness of a fruity brown ale with depth and delicate malt notes. It is deep ruby in color, with flavors just as rich. Every year, New Belgium sends a delegate to the Pacific Northwest to oversee the process of turning freshly picked berries into a pure juice to be added in fermentation. The coming of Thanksgiving at New Belgium is ushered in with the first sighting of our cellar operators scuttling about, covered head to tow in a festive crimson berry wash.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BURGUNDY COLOR EVER. That color hints at the raspberry flavor that is about to beat you over the head. The first smell is very vanilla and is very inviting. If you don't like fruit flavored beers then stay far away from this one. Really far because it will use Jedi mind tricks to impose its raspberry will on you, that's how prominent the raspberry flavor is. Starts with a citrus bite with a nice raspberry juicy finish. Medium/full body, decent head. All told it is a very nice beer and even the strong raspberry flavor seems balanced. I've never had a better raspberry flavored beer. Take it home for my son's birthday on Dec. 25. A perfect after-dinner seasonal beer.

thin tan head with a definite pinkish tinge. The brew is very clear walnut brown... just spots of lacing. Nose is distinctive "real raspberry".... also shows a nice clean brown malty character with deep toast and hints of lite cocoa. Flavor mirrors the nose and is actually pretty dry... just clean malts and sorta jammy raspberry essence.... pretty refreshing actually. Body is a bit on the light side, but plenty of smooth small bubble carbonation makes it seem a little creamy.

Bottle to snifter. An immediate gawd awful aroma of rotten fruit and mustiness that makes me feel sick. a dark red pour with a medium sized light brown head. Taste is all papery thin and sugary sweetness like a lollipop. This is horrible.

Rating #1392 - 15.12.2014 On tap @revolutionyeg. Pours a deep ruby Aroma is strong raspberry. Taste is more of the same, sweet berry juicyness, light tartness. Palate is heavy with sweetness, but it isn’t unwelcome in this instance.

Aroma is raspberry and sulphur. Taste is pale malts with faint caramel and mostly raspberry tones that are fairly well balanced and not consuming. Appearance is a clear amber with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Has a awesome amber red in color with a thin white head. Lacing is okay. Aroma consist of raspberries and toasted nuts. Definite raspberries in the taste. Slick feel on the palate that finishes abruptly. Low carbonation. Gives me a clean feeling in my mouth like mouthwash. Easy drinking beer. Recieved from brenn79. Overall enjoyable.
