Pours dark brown with off white head, aroma is odd with coffee, roast, and a touch of citrus. Taste is little bit of lemon up front, bitter version, but blended into coffee and roast, with a bitter finish. Not bad, odd combination but decent.

Pours a clear, reddish gold, with a very small head. Light aroma is slightly sweet and slightly coffee, perhaps like a watered down flavored coffee drink. Flavor is about the same, some sweet malt notes with some bitter coffee accent to it, especially in the finish.

Big thanks to BelgianBeerGal for giving me my 30th New Belgium rating. Bottle (23Jan2009). Pours with a hazed ruby copper colored body and a large tan head. Aroma of coffee, light rum, caramel, sweet potato, dirt, ash, tobacco, lemon, and pepper. Taste is a bit mellow. Somewhere between tea with some lemon slices and coffee. Sweet tea like finish. Minimal bitterness. Sort of bubbly and thin. Not unpleasant in any way, very easy to drink.

Bottle. Redish brown color with medium head. Aroma of coffee and citrus fruits with notes of cinnamon, caramel and very light chocolate. Taste is lightly bitter, also somewhat creamy, coffee really comes out. Nice tight finish.

Bottle:   Reddish hued copper, on the pale side, thin sudsy off-white head, sparce lacing.   Weak coffee aroma... yup, thats about it.   On the tongue it seems like old Earl Gray tea mixed with some expresso beans.   Not all that pleasing I might add.   Some lemon sucrets that have barely started to disolve in my tea/coffee concoction are noticeable on the backside.   Who cares that this has a moderate body and mouthfeel, I just can’t think of any good reason to continue drinking this.   FAIL

Seriously weird. I really didn’t care for this beer and I normally like experimental brews. But seriously no one puts a slice of lemon in their coffee, this is just an extension.

12oz bottle, safely stored in the fridge for any number of months by my mother-in-law, who mistakenly thought this was mine. Thanks! Pours a slightly reddish-tinted, cola color; off-white head with good retention and tight, mixed-bubbled lacing; solid pour. Bitter chocolate, one-dimensional citrus acidity, and medium roast coffee in the aroma; bitter coffee takes the most prominent note, with a light caramel sweetness underneath. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: heavy amounts of bitter coffee with high acidity and citrus notes; well-balanced with a sweet malt core that prevents this from being overly bitter; the front end is a big dose of coffee, followed by caramel, followed by sugar and toasted malts; a drinkable, well-bodied coffee beer; high levels of carbonation with just a touch of abrasiveness. Well-handled. Lengthy finish of medium-roast coffee, citrus, and lasting caramel sweetness. Tasty.
