From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a light crystal clear pale gold with a thick frothy white head. Malty nose. Flavors of straw with some mild hoppiness, producing a lingering bitter finish. Quite smooth and crisp.

Poured a clear yellow with a frothy head. Nose was funky. Taste is neither real hoppy or does it have the maltiness of a bock. Sort of a mess.

Pour is a clear golden with a average white head. Aroma is a nice mix of the rye malt and hops. Flavor is about the same. A nice spicy rye starts things out but after the swallow a decent bitter hop is left on the tongue. This was a nice rye-IPA style beer.

Draft at Beer Bistro. Thin head with attractive lacing action. Gold color just to the point of turning amber. Looks and tastes pretty malty, even chewy, without that much hop at the start. Halfway through the tulip glass, I start to pick up some of the European hop note, but it never gets overpowering. Then right at the end I caught a little bite of yeasty bock spice, a reminder that this is a style that can turn to bananas very easily. But this beer doesn’t.

22oz bottle. Clearish yellow with a small white head. Aroma of bready pils malt, lemon, herbs and floral hops. Flavor is bitter hops, malty with minimal sweetness and a clean yeast profile. Medium to light body. Good hybrid beer, light and clean with a decent hop character.

Appearance is a light golden color supporting a healthy head that sticks around awhile leaving fair lace. Smell has a nice floral fresh hoppy aroma with malt in the back. Taste has that upfront hop flavor without being overpowering balanced with a nice malt flavor. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. A nice hoppy twist on a Bock.

22oz bottle. Light orange color, white foam. Smells of pale barley malt. Earthy character. Rich, thick bodied, creamy texture. Barley flavor, sharp hops. Bold bitterness, lingering hop on the palate. Bitter pine in the finish. (3722)

Pours a clear yellow-gold into the glass, with a nice soapy head that retains well, leaving sudsy lacing. The nose is of lemon, cereal and grains. Flavors are similar, with lemons, Apple Jacks Cereal, some grassy notes, a candied citrus, and a nice extended bitter to balance and finish the pull. With a fresh mouthfeel, this one goes down smooth with a medium-light body, soft carbonation and almost juice-like texture. Really nice.
