Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a good 2 finger head that leaves some moderate lacing. Aroma is of light earthy hops. Flavor is bitter earthy hops, some sweet grain, some lemon. Medium bodied Very nice example. I cant wait to see what else is in the Hop Kitchen.

The aroma is of wheat and dry hops. The hops, as I sip the beer, take on a character of grass and some citrus. The taste is very balanced between sourness and biterness. The palate is mostly strong, albeit with an unimpressive finish. That said, quite a good beer. (Note: after drinking, I checked and saw that this bottle was a bit past the due date... and it’s still quite good, so that says something. Now I just need to try it fresh!)

Too dry an aroma filled with aging groundcover foliage. Overly translucent, albeit liquid gold in color. That aging foliage is all there is in the flavor. A bit acrid on the palate. Harshly un-enjoyable.

There are some great hops finely matched in this delicious lager. Clearly a homerun, this brew is subtle and sufficiently bitter. Blends great with mustard roasted potatoes and chicken ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great lacing. This is a little confusing, but still good. Not malty like a heller bock, but hoppy. Still tasty, but I prefer the dead guy ale. Worth trying

Decent hop aroma and very clean characteristic lager flavor, which works well with some more hop flavor. I actually enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I was going to.

Pleasant, hoppy and sweet aroma. Pours a golden orange with a thick head. Fairly smooth if a bit flat. Slightly sweet finish. A nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This excellent lager is cloudy and the color is light. The hops are distinct. The only complaint is that the malt flavor is a little understated. Thus, there is a slight imbalance between malt and hops. However, it is an excellent beer.

Appearance is a light golden color supporting a healthy head that sticks around awhile leaving fair lace. Smell has a nice floral fresh hoppy aroma with malt in the back. Taste has that upfront hop flavor without being overpowering balanced with a nice malt flavor. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. A nice hoppy twist on a Bock.

A different beer. The light amber clear color belies the bitter profile. It tends more toward a rye bitterness than grapefruit. Very dry, the flavor fading very quickly. Interesting and unusual.
