Hop kitchen series #6. We teamed up with our hometown hop heroes at Odell to brew a FOrt COllins collaboration. Our proximity allowed sharing of ingredients to create this unique Pale Ale. If only we could employ prairie dogs that in habit the space between us to courier the Fawcett malt, an Odell standard, we used to complement our favored Centennial, Cascade and Citra hops. Best enjoyed with a neighbor!

22 oz bomber at $4.99. Good "bang for your buck" beer, and excellent for a pale ale. I would classify as more of an IPA, and this is a tasty solid beer with the citra hops providing the most flavor.

Bomber. Copper with small off white head. Strong aroma of citrus, biscuit, and malt. Medium body, moderate citrus hop bitterness, biscuit, and some resinous notes. Hop presence a bit much even for an APA.

A bit heavy and boisterous for an APA. Pours a clear orangey amber in the body with a thick finger of off white head. The nose is bursting with grapefruit and pine resin aroma. Moderately sweet flavour with light toasted and cara malts and an overall bready malt. Some nice citrus fruits and light torpical fruity notes and moderate sweetness. The finish has mild astringency and a lingering but moderate bitterness. Quite boozy for an APA.

22oz bottle. Medium off-white head atop crystal clear amber body, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, juicy grapefruit, some pine. Taste is moderately sweet, orange/grapefruit, some pine, tangerine, bread. Medium body, some resin, alcohol stickiness. A bit heavy for an APA, comes across more as an IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grass with a bit of light pine backed by earthy grains and biscuit. Flavor has more resinous pine with earthy grass, earthy biscuit and earthy biscuit coming through.

Serving: Draft. Hazy copper-gold pour. Lots of citrus in the nose. A pleasant mix of orange, pine, and a touch of grapefruit on the tongue. A slight sweetness wedges itself in there amongst the hops. Medium to full body with a lingering finish. Nice brew.

Aroma is fresh and fragrant with some orange marmalade accents, a touch of light mint and spruce. Full-bodied flavor with a nice malt and hop balance. Some light citrus bitterness, a touch of cake mix sweetness, some caramel-like maltiness, a back end of orange marmalade. Nice thickish mouthfeel. Decent collaboration.

Beautiful color, copper and amber, bright, hazy, with small head. Nice aroma, the hops are citrusy and piney, there are also some cereals. Dry mouthfeel; it has a hint of caramel and grains, but the flavor is not developed much; the bitterness is regularly high, but the hop provides just a hay feeling.
Good beer, quite clean; I prefer fruitier ones though.
