3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Dark reddish-orange color with a white head. Aroma is grassy, a tiny bit floral. Taste is citrus pith and slightly floral hops and a fairly serious sweet malt taking over. The palate is very light, a bit too watery for my preference. This is a good beer, but it feels like it’s missing something - a bit empty in the palate and/or the transition from hops bitterness to sweet malt needs something in between that’s not there. Nice to see Odell and NB collaborate. I’ve always wondered why the quality craft breweries in that area (and there seem to be plenty!) don’t offer more collaborations. Us beer geeks would go crazy over them.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Super combination of multiple hops to fire up a combo citrus-pine tree aroma, then hearty barley malts (I think) to get a hearty bread scent and bread taste. It didn’t matter than the "enjoy by" date had long passed on this bomber, this was still delicious and a super find in the Discount Liquor (Milwaukee) bargain basket.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a clear amber color with a white head. Nice hoppy aroma with pine and citrus. Some sweet malts too. Taste is not as bitter as I expected, smooth and creamy. Malty and a bit sweet. Overall not bad, very refreshing.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Best by date of 08.31.14.
Poured from a bomber into a beer can glass on 06.23.14.
A: 2 finger head that stays. See through orange/amber body.
S: Strong red grapefruit. Maybe hop resin too.
T: Follows the nose.
O: This seems to try to be a West Coast APA, but it falls short. It’s good, but there are better examples of the style. It does have a nice lingering bitterness with a sweet grapefruit flavor.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
APPEARANCE - great pour from the bomber. Exactly what you’d expect from a pale ale.
NOSE - Nose is more like an IPA than a PA. Light floral hopy aroma. I gave it moderate points bc it smells like an IPA more than a PA.
FLAVOR - Something about it doesn’t sit right with me. It has an odd flavor that I can’t identify, but is counter to what I’d expect. The hop flavor holds, but where’s the malt balance?
NOTES - starts with a great nose, but the flavor doesn’t match it. It tastes like an overly aromatic PA that is lacking in flavor in the front, but picks up a bit at the end.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Copper with small off white head. Strong aroma of citrus, biscuit, and malt. Medium body, moderate citrus hop bitterness, biscuit, and some resinous notes. Hop presence a bit much even for an APA.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A bit heavy and boisterous for an APA. Pours a clear orangey amber in the body with a thick finger of off white head. The nose is bursting with grapefruit and pine resin aroma. Moderately sweet flavour with light toasted and cara malts and an overall bready malt. Some nice citrus fruits and light torpical fruity notes and moderate sweetness. The finish has mild astringency and a lingering but moderate bitterness. Quite boozy for an APA.
