3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best by Nov 20, 2011. Pours hazy golden straw color with a nice 2 finger dense white head with great retention that reduces to a cap. Some nice lacing down the glass as well. Aromas of grapefruit, floral, orange, apricot, light caramel, bread, and a bit of wheat. Some nice aromas with decent strength. Taste of nice grapefruit, pine, floral, orange, bread, light pine, spices, and wheat. Good amount of bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pine, spiciness, bread, and light caramel for a bit on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy mouthfeel that drinks smoothly. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming after the finish. Overall a nice and drinkable blonde ale. Quite enjoyable and definitely a nice option for a session. It is nicely balanced in flavors and not anything extreme that would make it unpalatable after a few glasses.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. The pour was a hazy golden yellow with an average sized (1-2 finger) frothy white head that diminished to just a little residue left floating on top after about five minutes or so, which created some really good sticky lacing.
The aroma was very mild of floral, grassy and pine hops with a grain malt and a soapy yeast and a note of citrus.
The taste was lightly bitter with a hint of grapefruit in the beginning and then became a tad more on the bitter side with a mild sweet orange citrus note at the end. The flavor lasted a really short time after the swallow and mostly consisted of a hoppy citrus flavor.
Mouthfeel was light in body and a bit watery in texture with a medium carbonation.
Overall a beer with a lot of different hops working very well together so not to overpower each other, or the rest of the flavors in this well rounded brew.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. This beer was a gift, purchased from a gas station near Belleville, IL.
NBHGA doesnít have a strong aroma but what is there is of mild citrus and malt.
It pours pours clear and golden (aptly named) with a smallish white head. The too-cold temperature may account for the small head.
The flavor is really special, being reminiscent of pizza crust. It has an olive oil and autumn leaves flavor. The hops and malt are balanced quite nicely.
The palate is very typical, middle-of-the-road craft beer. It has little to no distinguishing qualities, good or bad.
Basted on the taste of this beer, it is the most interesting beer Iíve had in a quite a while. Even if it doesnít turn out to be your style it is worth trying.
I listened to Johnny Shines while drinking this beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Golden yeloow, creamy white head. Nice citrus hop aroma. Medium creamy body enhanced by bold centennial hops that pack a really nice citrus punch over a body that can handle it. Very, very easy to drink. Thanks to Kelly for picking this up on her trip south of the border, great call!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 22 oz bottle, 12/21/11
Aroma: The nose is fairly citrusy, with some floral and grassy hops, and a little spice
Appearance: The pour is a mostly clear golden-orange color with a fizzy white head and medium lace
Flavor: Tastes light-medium sweet, citrusy, and medium hoppy bitter, with similar components to the nose
Palate: The body is medium (leaning a touch light), with an average carbonation, and slightly tingly finish
This is a surprisingly solid offering. I wasnít really expecting that much from this one, but it was better then I expected, and had some nice components to it. I thought there was a pretty solid hop profile on the nose. The flavor was decent as well, and for the price, this is a really good buy. Anyway, a nice offering, and rather drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden color. Think skin of head but is leaving a film of lacing. Aroma is sort of earthy with hints of sweetness. Some spicy hops with a strange sweetness that I havenít tasted before but is very pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
floral, golden, clear, minimal head, medium bitterness, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation...Good combination of hops. Surprisingly low IBU (40) considering that the hops cut through so prevelantly.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle pours brilliantly clear gold with a nice near white head. The aroma has a pleasing hoppy profile with firm spicy hops followed by a touch of pine hop resin and then some sort of floral notes and sweet fruity grapefruit cotton candy. The taste is similar with yummy spicy hops mixing with malt sweetened tangelo, a bit of grapefruit and rimmed with floral hops. In the background I get mild sweet malt notes and a nice Anchor Steam like yeasty ester sensation. Tasty and refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Clear straw, large frothy white head, decent lacing, very light carbonation.   Grassy mealy nose, slightly malty, very pale hops albeit FIVE hops being part of this one.   Very much a golden, grassy with light hop bitterness.   Slight citrus peel tinge.   A little mealy on the backside.   Average body and mouthfeel.   Clean finish, mild sweetness, a little malty, very pale citrus peel.   Not a bad little beer.   Not what I would have thought for a fall seasonal tho.
