Five hops and four malts make Hoptober Golden Ale a veritable cornucopia of earth. Pale and wheat malt are mashed with rye and oats to create a medium-bodied ale with creamy mouth feel. Centennial, Cascade, Sterling, Willamette and Glacier hops form a bonfire of citrus notes, fruity cheers and a bold finale. ABV: 6% 40 IBU Available in 6-packs and on draught

On first pouring this one, the drinker is bombarded with grapfruit, citrus, and piney aromas. The golden, slightly cloudy ale drinks with a mildly thick mouthfeel tasting of oats and wheat. The finish is medium heavy witch continues to tease the drinker into another full swallow. I love this one.

Creamy and fruity. Hints of orange and lemon. Very smooth to drink and not overly hoppy.

Light yeasty aroma with hints of citrus and fruit. Respectable long-lasting white head with excellent lacing. Pours a clear gold with light carbonation. Light but surprisingly creamy body with a very smooth finish.

Originally reviewed: 8/24/09. Nice to see another NB brew on the shelves here. Pours a light gold with a big frothy white head on top. Great retention and it leaves some nice lacing on the glass edge. Smells like oranges, lemons, and candy. The mouth is crisp and clean. Plenty of carbonation on this one. The taste is interesting. Pretty citrusy and hoppy. This is like a tamed down IPA. This is not bad. Its not your typical "October" beer, but its good. Refreshing and tasty.

Bottle with best y Nov 2011 consumed on March 23, 2012. Appearance is gold with visible effervescence and a big head. Taste and flavor are gentle and sweet malt with some honey citrus tones. Very refreshing creamy body. Drinkable as hell several months past expiration!

Poured into a snifter. Transparent golden color with a finger of head. Citrus smell, with a backdrop of malt. Grapefruit and sour (good) dominate the citrus. Strong bitter taste throughout, a little sweetness rounds it out. Straightforward profile and enjoyable. High carbonation, light body and crisp. As a golden ale it bring more flavor than normal, which is good. Not my favorite style but definitely worth trying.

Light golden pour with a fizzy white head. Nose is orange blossom honey, light grain and flowers. Pilsner malt and honey in the flavor. Nice sipper and very drinkable.

Pale straw yellow with a fluffy head that falls away fairly quickly. The aroma is sweet, fruity graininess. The flavor is sprightly lemony hop and a grainy, toasty malt bite. Good drinkability.
