Five hops and four malts make Hoptober Golden Ale a veritable cornucopia of earth. Pale and wheat malt are mashed with rye and oats to create a medium-bodied ale with creamy mouth feel. Centennial, Cascade, Sterling, Willamette and Glacier hops form a bonfire of citrus notes, fruity cheers and a bold finale. ABV: 6% 40 IBU Available in 6-packs and on draught

Poured into a snifter. Transparent golden color with a finger of head. Citrus smell, with a backdrop of malt. Grapefruit and sour (good) dominate the citrus. Strong bitter taste throughout, a little sweetness rounds it out. Straightforward profile and enjoyable. High carbonation, light body and crisp. As a golden ale it bring more flavor than normal, which is good. Not my favorite style but definitely worth trying.

Best by 11DEC11 A: Pours a golden ale with a single finger head that goes down to a sheet of the same. Excellent clarity. Rings of lace. S: Citrusy and pleasant. Really great nose here, distinctly orange and lemon. Nice. T: Sharp hops and sweet malts. Great flavor is just as citrus laden as the nose. M: Medium bodied with moderate carb. Semi dry finish. O: Good beer. Easy to drink. Reminds me of fresh Bitter American. Very sessionable. Serving type: bottle 08-20-2011

A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light sulfur notes, so-so. In mouth, a sweetish malt with light fruity esters, faint grassy hops, OK. Bottle Oct. 2011.

This was a 3 year old bottle, poured light golden. Nose slight sour, syrupy malt, and dank hop. Taste sweet malt and bitter bite, faint spiciness. Mild bitter finish. I realize it was past date, but not too bad.

Rated on 9-13-2009 (Bottle-Best Before: 12Feb2010) This beer forms a small fizzy white head with a short retention, transparent golden body, very little carbonation observed, and spotty amounts of lacing. The Aroma is wheat malt, bitter, citrus hops, and fruity. The Taste is bitter, some rye, fruity, and citrus hops. The Palate is tingly and semi-fizzy and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, there is a definite hop presence, but not overly so. This is a tasty beer from this brewery, worth trying, and a beer I would drink again.

September 2011. From bottle. Golden color with a white head. Aromas of malt, hops, spice and light fruit. Good balance, good hoppiness. A bit of citrus on the finish.
