johntreeter (121), Greenwood, Indiana, USA Jun 30, 2008 My first sour beer. Pours a beautiful amber brown with a thin off white head. Aroma of vinegar and oak with earthy notes. Flavor is very sour and complex, mainly of sour apples and oak with earthy notes here and there. Med. to big bodied, lively carbonation, and smooth dry texture and mouthfeel round out this wonderfull intro to sours. Not my style of brew and probably will never be, but this is a damn fine beer that will have me drinking sours now and then to tempt and tease the palate. MatSciGuy (627), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Jun 22, 2008 [Bottle] shared by STLWill. Pours a chalky caramel color with a small off white head. Aroma is brett, vinegar, sour apple and a little oak. One of the sourest beer I’ve had. Also in there is some oak, tobacco, and some other earthy flavors. Very dry and very much a palate wrecker, and also very very good. An easy to drink, well made, delightful Sour Ale -- fantastic stuff. garmonbozia (225), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Jun 9, 2008 Let me start off by saying a HUGE Thanks to Styles. He sent me this awsome beer and I have to say that it is my favorite beer thus far. I told Chris that I am becoming more and more interested in sours and this beer was absolutely wonderful. It poured a nice brown body with a huge vinergery smell. The sour fruits (apples and cherries) came through with a hint of fig. The taste was so complex. Huge sour and malt. The sourness became ever more dominant as it warmed. Lacing stuck to the glass lick glue. This was pefect on that hot memorial day. garthicus (1215), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 4, 2008 Thanks to Blankboyfor sharing this: Shared with Tupalev, Blankboy and HogTownHarry: Appearance: Brown red colour, zero head. Aroma: Delightfully sour aroma, some spice and fruit too. Flavour: mmm lovely and sour, bitter and the carbonation on my tongue is incredibly enjoyable. Peppery and ’juicy’ wow, very enjoyable!!! Very much so! Bottle no 11/07 - 10,880 pineypower (1076), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Jun 1, 2008 Much thanks to Eclectic for this bottle.
