Nov 29, 2006 Sampled at the Richmond Beer Industry Gathering 2006. 2003 Bottle. Slightly hazy amber body with a small white head. Light sour aroma with a fruity hint. Gentle sour flavor with some fruit and mild caramel.

Nov 25, 2006 Bottle. Had this one @ the brewery in 2005 and didn’t like it. "Too sour" I thought. Now these sour beers are really growing on me. This one’s so sour that it burns the back of your throat, but not like an alcohol burn. Aroma has a mild hint of ethanol to it. Bitter, sour cherry notes.

Nov 24, 2006 draft at the brewery. .. Sour, vineagarey, horse blanket. Complex!. .. Hazy, chestnut brown. .. Fruity - cherry raspberry, sour, intense, sweet-tart. . . medium-light body. Sourness gets in the way. . It’s a flavor adventure!! Interesting blend of berries and sour (almost too much sour? - will be interesting to compare to the bottles in the cellar. Great quote from a server a the brewery " You’ll hate it today, but crave it tomorrow. It kinda gets under your skin"

Nov 23, 2006 2006 bottle from Eric (footbalm) Thanks. Pours out a dark brown to red color with a tan head on it. Smell is sour cherry, oak, and spices. Taste is smooth and rich, full of cherries and oak notes. Not an over powering beer like some wood aged beers can be. Very smooth and just damn good. Probably one of the best flemish sour ales I have had. Bottle was digested rather quickly. Great stuff.

Nov 15, 2006 Tap @ Toronado. Dark mahogany red color wit ha slight tan head. A powerfully tart and intense sour cherry fruit, woody, burning, spiced cinnamon, ginger, light apple. A wonderful beer but must be taken slowly.

Nov 14, 2006 Aroma is very sour with some fruit overtones.Pours a redish brown with a white head.Tastes very sour with some dark fruits present.Sour up front and sour in the finish.

Nov 14, 2006 2004 tasted a couple months ago. Amber brown. Small off white head. Vinegared cherries, oak, sourness, earth, subtle spice, and a dry finish. A bit past its prime. Smooth, medium palate.
