Commercial Description:
Brew in honor of the New Belgium’s 15th anniversary. It is a tip of the hat to Orval.

Draft at Vinos Little Rock AR.Yellow with a small white head. Nose of spices, brett, and a bit of Orval-lishness.Taste is dry, funky/barnyard, bitter, but very drinkable. Puckering finish. I can taste the Orval background in this-well done. I need to get a 750 or two or three of this and try it aged. I take it that the 750’s are bottle conditioned?

On tap at 33 wine bar. Pours hazy golden / orange with a foamy white head along with a ton of carbonation and head that gives good lacing. The aroma is fairly dry with light fruit and wild yeast. Medium grainy body that is moderately sharp and crisp with subdued carbonation. The flavor starts with straw, graininess, earthy yeast, non-sweet nectar fruits and light plastic. The finish has dry spice and grassy hops with a bit of yeasty funk. This is a good beer, but not as special as expected. The dryness is very enjoyable and would make a good summer evening beer.

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. light brett, light malt, light spice aroma. Malt flavor with light citrus, spice, and light brett. Medium bodied. Lingering light citrus tartness, spice, and malt. Needs more time to develop the brett.

Cloudy golden with good head. Mix of citrus nad yeast. Subtle bitterness grows into the finish. Yeasty peach flavor sticks out. Sligh metallic astringency. Seems a bit light and thin.

tame fruity nose with hints of peach sourness and flowers with a somewhat sweet backdrop...quite fruity smelling actually. the beer underneath was clearish golden and there was not much head formation. starts out rather dry with hints of fruit underneath, but tastes somewhat pasteruerized and unnecessarily bitter. the body is crisp but it’s kind of a watery palate to back the flavors and they kind of get lost. the hops show theirselves in clashing americanistyle bitterness but don’t necessarily have a flavor of their own they just clash with test of the beer. this is seriously one-dimensional stuff and i don’t see how this is a tip of their hat to Orval...maybe if they through some brett in the mix (and maybe they did, but it’s not showing)..but the hops are a real distraction here whether or not brett character would make it better
