Commercial Description:
Brew in honor of the New Belgium’s 15th anniversary. It is a tip of the hat to Orval.

On tap at O’briens. Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a medium thick, white head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly bitter with a hint of sweetness with a very very slight hint of brett/horseblanket, but, it’s hardly noticable. Not a whole lot of flavor at all. Light to medium bodied and dry.

I personally like it better than Orval (which I am not a fan of). On tap at the Fathers Office. Pours with a rocky, white head covering a cloudy yellow body. Aroma of banana, yeast, spiceyness, and a bit of leather. Taste is spicey with a bit of DMS, apple and brett. Very light and refreshing. Watery mouthfeel with lively carbonation.

Draft at Falling Rock Tap House in Denver. Hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma of orange, hops, and yeast. Doughy flavor, with a strong citrusy sweetness and a twinge of funkiness. Very little hops. Finishes tart and sweet; very delicate. It’s super complex but not at all in your face about it. Good stuff.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a cloudy gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of barnyard funk, citrus and light leather. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of straw, light barnyard, light citrus and a hint of leather with a smooth bretty finish.

On tap at the Flying Saucer-KC. Pours a hazy gold with a fluffy, white head and pretty, delicate lace. The nose is of bright, fruity, Belgian yeast and subtle pale malt. Light to medium-bodied it moves toward a light graininess at the finish. The flavor is of sweet pale malt backed by the trademark New Belgium nutty yeast. This is a fairly interesting brew that tastes much like a lighter version of their tripel.

Draft at Vinos Little Rock AR.Yellow with a small white head. Nose of spices, brett, and a bit of Orval-lishness.Taste is dry, funky/barnyard, bitter, but very drinkable. Puckering finish. I can taste the Orval background in this-well done. I need to get a 750 or two or three of this and try it aged. I take it that the 750’s are bottle conditioned?
