22 ounce bottle purchased from BevMo in Natomas, CA. Aroma is rather corn like, with just a little bit of grassiness and light dough. There is a little bit of fruit Belgian yeastiness, but not much. This actually is very reminiscent of a Pale Lager. Light golden transparent body with a pillowy white head. Again, very Pale Lagerish. Starts highly carbonated and pretty spritzy with slight spiciness and grassiness early on. Has some chewy doughiness in the middle with some lightly fruity yeast esters present. FInishes with a little bitter grassy hoppiness and some mild ethanol notes present. This is basically a malt liquor brewed with Belgian yeast.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 savnac (2126) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 26, 2010
22 oz bottle. Pours crystal clear golden yellow with a thick long lasting pure white head. Aroma of rock candy, black pepper, band aid and a light musty basement, not the most appealing smell. The flavor is strong black pepper and sour earthy yeast. Medium body, highly carbonated and a dry chalky mouth feel. Seams a bit unbalanced, I don’t get any malt or sugar characteristics to counteract the strong spicy flavor and I don’t know what’s going on with the aroma. Meh.

Bottle. Bright gold/amber, with creamy white head. Banana, fruit sweetness, yeast, slightly herbal and bready. Really not too interesting.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2010 bomber from papago on 5/31/10.
golden yellow with a white head... it gets a bit cloudy as the bottle nears the bottom and the yeast comes out.
it smells sulphuric and vile... like struck matches and apple juice.
the flavor is not good either... wheat rubbery burnt match flavor, apples and straw-like grain mixed with booze.
blech. i really wanted to like this...4/3/4/3/8/2.2
5/27/10 on tap at pap.
hazy golden blond with a small white head.
it smells of bananas, yeast, lemon, alcohol and peppery spice.
the flavor has some savory notes along with smoky wood, yeast and the rest of the characteristics from the aroma.
chalkiness in the texture. better than the bottle but not by much.

Tasted 7/22/10. 22oz bomber. First pour is filtered with a bright golden hue. White clinging layer of head. Faint aromas of cereal grains and a kiss of citrus. Medium to full bodied with a zesty and very bitter effervescence. Nice pleasant tingling sensation. Good citrus and decent yeast flavor. Mild pepper and more candy than expected. Tart and dry and mild. Just mild.

[Tap] Pours a golden color with a cap of white head. Aroma of sweet grains, Belgian yeast and some corn. Wheat malts, lemongrass, light fruits and yeast in the taste. Medium mouthfeel and palate. This seemed pretty straightforward and lacked the complexity I was expecting with this series.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hopscotch (8242) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 12, 2010
Bottle… Clear yellow ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Aroma-wise, the first thing that hits me is a pungent green apple fragrance - acetaldehyde. I hate the stuff. Otherwise, the bouquet presents spicy hops and pale grains. Medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. The flavor is just cloyingly sweet with as much green apple as the nose. Crisp, sweet finish. Too sweet. Too much acetaldehyde. Bleh.

The beer pours a clear straw color with a white head. The aroma is wheat with some grassy hops, lemons, oranges and peppers. The flavor is a mix of lemons and oranges with some wheat, pepper and Belgian yeast. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
