3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From notes verbatim on 10/21/10
A: light straw, white foam over the surface, thick meringue about 1/16" which is persistent.
S: Pears, gardenia, bananas. Not bad.
T: Good blonde ale. Crisp, floral. Surprised by this one.
M: Sharp on palate then loses itís intensity quickly and slides down gullet. Light body.
D: Good beer. If Iím in the mood for a blonde, this would be good, only prefer lower bottle size.
Serving type: bottle

7/27/2010: New Belgium Lips of Faith Blonde... Aroma: Whereís the aroma?! MAYBE hints of light fruitiness and berry? Appearance: Bright pale straw color; frothy white crown; nice lacing. Flavor: Oddly sweet; ripe, fresh fruits; a bit of alcohol. Palate: Light to medium-light body; soft texture. Overall: This is an interesting blonde that is extremely drinkable; the sweetness makes you want more!
Draught at Piece in Chicago. Rating #122 for this beer.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a clear yellowish color with lots of carbonation and fluffy white head. It reminds me a lot of how Miller Lite commercials are made to look haha. Good strong scents of wheat and malts to this 8.5% abv one time only beer. The taste is so smooth. Lots of taste to it, among them are sweet malts, complex wheat and a slight bit of bitterness. A rather well made beer, a little on the expensive side for 1 beer but well worth it!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
April 17th, 2010 - The Lips of Faith series as flourished in recent years, acting as New Belgiumís bold and avante garde laboratory experiment while Fat Tire & Co. work on defecating hundred dollar bills for the company. Their latest effort eschews funky ingredients and wonky brewing instructions for a classically Belgian style done New Belgian Style. And like itís cousins across the sea, this beer pours with a massive iceberg of a head, with a clear golden body somewhere under itís titanic, morphing geometry. The scent is springy, sharp and clean (whether thatís a product of this particular hops profile I do not know), and a splash of white grape juice. More white grapes, freshly crushed and sugars pouring into the beer, appears in the taste, with a finer hops balance, giving it a dry, luxurious and almost champagne-like quality. While not as exciting as some of the other Lips of Faith series (Ericís Ale, Iím looking at you!), this is a refined drink, and demonstrates New Belgiumís aptitude for the brewing styles that sired itís founderís motivation to brew commercially.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a hazy white gold with a thick white head. Aroma is a bit sour and alcohol. Flavor is very full, but of.what? This is probably the best blonde ale Iíve had.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bomber poured into a Trappist Glass. Pours a clear dark gold with about 3 fingers of frothy white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast with some light citrus hops. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Citrus hops with some light fruits, pear and apple. Light bodied with a sticky texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, itís ok. Not really anything special here.
