COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Famous in Michigan for farmhouse ales, our friends at Brewery Viviant introduced us to their biere de garde ale yeast strain. From there, we imagined a slightly tart, intentionally dry beer with hints of bergamot citrus that pairs perfectly with French cheeses.

Pours a clear golden color with a one finger white head that quickly disappears and leaves couple of spots of lacing. Aroma is predominantly orange, and orange peel with a slight hint of yeast. Taste is all of the above plus a bit of spice. Some people say this is more like a Belgian golden ale but there’s no belgian yeast and this has more citrus. I’m really digging this.

@ Whitey’s Wine and Liquor / Lawrenceburg IN --- Slightly hazy medium amber, white head that drops to a full contoured cover, bands and streaks of lace. Taste opens with malt that doesn’t grow til it moves to the back of the tongue, where it adds sweet citrus and yeast before adding a light hoppiness to bring things back into line. A solid brew that is so easy to drink, one must be aware of the alcohol, which never shows it’s face. Recommended.

Strong orange citrus aroma and pours golden blonde with a thin white head. A quality Belgian ale with a crisp citrusy finish. A very refreshing and citrusy take on a Belgian biere de garde. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
