COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Famous in Michigan for farmhouse ales, our friends at Brewery Viviant introduced us to their biere de garde ale yeast strain. From there, we imagined a slightly tart, intentionally dry beer with hints of bergamot citrus that pairs perfectly with French cheeses.

Yellow-gold with good, creamy & foamy white head / Fruity nose of tropical & orchard fruit, coconut, and malolactic fermentation / Medium to full body, fruity, sweet with a lot of dry, oak astringency? in the middle, good balance and lightly bitter finish / Flavors of pineapple, apple, pear, peach, clove, ginger, and oak / A little bigger and sweeter than I would prefer, but very well done. The description comment about pairing with French cheese is right on.

Bomber. Pours a light golden, clear, thin white head. Nose is light peach, orange, coriander. Mouth is medium bodied, fruity, full of lemongrass, coriander, orange peel, peachy notes. Finish has a hint of bsicuit, but citrus still dominant. Tasty.

Bottle, shared with my in-laws. Hazy orange-tinted gold. Very doughy yeasty aroma, some brothy character like cooked noodles, lightly cheesy. Doughy, yeasty body of flavours, brightened by some orange and spice. Intriguing to me, but not a favourite.

Clear golden color with white head. Nice salty, peppery, doughy, mild sulfer aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Same salty, peppery phenolic flavors as in the smell, with some bready pale malts and dry spice---good brew

Orange peel nose with tart hits and some alcohol notes and typical yeast farmhouse scent. Clean in the mouth with slight orange notes and dry finish. Alcohol warmth follows. Very slight caramel notes in nose and taste as it warms. Great linger of dry and crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I like it real good. There’s a hint of spice to it that one doesn’t quite grasp... I guess it’s from the bergamot. Medium bodied, this beer is refreshing but packs an alcoholic punch.

22 ounce bottle into a brandy snifter. Pours a bright hazy orange with a thin white head of foam. The aroma is lightly herbal with a big orange peel character. The orange peel reminds me of dreamsicle. In the taste, the orange comes through like juicy rind. Pretty nice.

Pours a nice golden color with a thick white head. Head dissipates rather quickly. Slight orange scent on the nose. Not too much going on taste wise. There is a hint of orange but other than that its a basic saison flavor. Its an enjoyable beer, just nothing spectacular.
