2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
translucent copper with a persistant beige head.
aroma: sour, brett funk, metallic, citrus rind, fruity flanders ale esters, and some biscuity malt.
taste: mostly the brett funk of the aroma, but with some bathroom phenolics rather than the nice flanders sour notes.

Pours a cloudy orange with a foam white head that dissipated quickly. Smells a little grassy with a little bit of funk. Taste is earthy and the Brett is apparent. My first of this style and it was quite refreshing on a hot spring day

This one fell flat for me. Golden-orange pour leads mild doughy aroma. Taste is kind of bland maltiness and oats, citrus is mild-orange to me, the Brett didn’t mesh as nicely as I’d have hoped.

Dull golden pour with some white head. Aromas of spices, citrus, and earth - flavor is similar with Brett and floral hops.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at Apex, pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of doughy malt - not much on the nose really. Flavour of dry bread, wheat and maybe some yeast - similarly bland flavour profile. Pointless beer to me, yet dry and refreshing. Decent enough I suppose.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Nice pie spice, caramel, and funk on the aroma. Hazy bronze color and a slightly hazy appearance. I loved the flavor balance between the funky, barnyard notes and the spices, all held together by a nice, rich sweetness. It wasn’t as fizzy or highly carbonated as most Biere de Gardes, not that that’s a negative, just different.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Courtesy of my roommate Ryan. Pours a cloudy goldenrod color. Smells like funky, yeasty citrus. Delicate carbonation. Tastes tart and slightly sour, like a funky Belgian hefeweizen. Nice wheat, citrus, and mild peppery spice flavors. Tastes slightly mild, but is probably just right for a hot day.

Bottle sample at the 3rd Israeli Sour Tasting. Thanks beerandbeyond. Pours cloudy orange with orange and clove aroma, tastes like white orange peel. Rather flat, light body. Not amazing.

Bottle sample at the 3rd Israeli Sour Tasting. Thanks beerandbeyond. Hazy orange with a white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma with citrus and light funky notes. Spicy yeasty flavor with some fruitiness, some sweetness and a dry finish. Medium-bodied.
