White head with small effervescent bubbles, quickly dissipating, atop a straw yellow beer. Aromas are citrus hops and funky, earthy, yeastiness with an after taste of pineapple. Flavors are sweet grain, citrus, and spicy hops. This beer is full bodied with medium low carbonation. Decent beer, very drinkable.

Hazy pale gold with a thin and patchy head. Mild carbonation. Syrupy. Cloying cobwebs. Doughy, yeasty and estery. Malt notes of bread and light nuts. Pleasant fruit notes from the esters and hops (lemon, pineapple, pear, and a mix of passion fruits)

24th September 2012 Hazy gold beer, big white head. Softish palate, semi dry. Mild carbonation. Soft semi sweet tripel like malt. Somewhat insipid orange. Some mild yeast. Dry finish. Insipid.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TheGB (422) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Pours yellow with lasting fizz. Aroma of stone fruit, yeast, mild grapefruit and pineapple. Taste is complex with layers of stone fruit and melon and vanilla. Quite nice, smooth palate. A little sweet, and not that funky, a complex Belgian golden kinda.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Slipstream (1775) - USA - APR 13, 2013
This doesn’t taste all that passionately brettful to me. A little like a cross between an APA and a Belgian golden ale. Fairly sweet & muffin-like, with some snappy hops. It does get more interesting as it goes along.
3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20 Beerenberger (789) - Fischer, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2013
The aroma is barnyard Brett - nice and funky. A hazy yellow pour with a mostly lasting whitehead and fine lacing. The taste is sweeter than I expected and no sourness noted. A nice little funk up front which yields to pears in the middle and grainy finish and aftertaste. Medium-light body with soft carbonation. Overall, I was disappointed that it wasn’t sour! While its easy to drink, I would have liked to experience more sourness. :-(

Expected more sour, tart, and funk but didn’t get it. Pours golden with white head. Aroma is yeast notes, spice, slight funk, and fruity. Taste is yeast character, faintly malt, spice with some fruit notes. Finishes nice. Just thought this one would have more tartness. Overall it’s a good brew, though.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 theisti (2821) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - MAR 22, 2013
22 oz bomber purchased at Rimann in Prairie Village, Kansas. Stored wine fridge 55 degrees since purchase, tasted side by side with Lost Abbey Mo Betta Bretta. The pour is clear golden, with a smallish white head. The aroma has some lemon citrus, than the Brett leather funk, and a punch of clove garlic. Like to Mo Betta Bretta, there is an oil nature present. The palate is medium bodied, low carbonation, and a lingering funk. This showcases the Brett for sure, though not all that pleasantly.

22oz bottle: pours a clear effervescent golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet biscuity malty nose with touch of herbal hops and mild tartness. Starts with average fullness and light malty sweetness with a hint of lemon zest and a touch of caramel before a semi-sweet and tart finish. Doesn’t have much in the way of funk or tartness, but has a decent saison base.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jnkor (289) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Sour, cheesy, sweet
Yellow clear, white head
Taste is sour and slightly bitter sweet, like aged cheese.
Palate was watery but balanced by a good amount of carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Kinz (2968) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Pours a clear gold, virtually no head after a few moments. Aroma is slightly fruity, and a bit of funk. Flavor is some lightly bready malts, followed by some fruity pineapple flavors, and very faint funk that is obviously the brett. No "sour edge" as described - but you don’t really get sour from brett, so this isn’t surprising. The fruity notes fall off a bit as it warms. Unfortunately. This isn’t a bad beer - just shockingly tame. I try not to get too carried away on hype, but when I hear "lost abbey, new belgium, & brett," my antennae go up. I was expecting to be blown away. Instead I got a brew that bordered on meek. Not bad, just a letdown.
