COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hola to a spiced up ale full of cocoa and ancho, guajillo, chipotle peppers. But don’t fear the heat, because plenty of caramel and chocolate malts bring a smooth, complex flavor. Scents of cinnamon when poured will have your saying "¡Ole For Mole!"

Pours mostly unclear deep amber with a dark ruby hue and decent sandy colored head. The aroma brings chipotle smoke dominating and a little bit of sweet cinnamon. The flavor brings a cleaner ale with some peppers tingling the tongue, not overbearing though at all being a year and a half old. The sweet caramel then comes in nicely and works quite well with the beer overall.

Tap at Alchemy. Pretty well rounded example of a chocolate-chili beer. Doughy chocolate tones with a noticeable chili pepper balance. The alcohol is hard to notice, because the chili heat trumps it. Has some heat and burn in the aftertaste, but still enjoyable. Highly unique, great mouthfeel.

There is a bit of heat to this, but its like the heat you get from a ginger or cinnamon cookie. Lots of rich malty flavors and spices in this one. Sweet, not overly heavy. The finish has a nice vanilla flavor and a cinnamon-like earthiness to it. This is an excellent desert beer with a lot going on. Unlike many heavier, sweeter flavored beers (and even other chili beers), it is balanced well enough that a pint isn’t a challenge, at all. A delicious and unique offering.

Tap. Brown with small head. Light heat, and sweet chocolate. Not a big fan of pepper beers, but this is decent.

on tap at Barleys (SC) Brown with a trace of red, dark and clear, with a moderate size but rather durable head. The feel is a bit thin but otherwise good. The chilies are quite evident from start to finish and on into the warming in my beily. A nice dose of cinnamon too, with everything in balance. That is, nothing so strong as to mask other ingredients, including a nice chocolate note. But be forewarned, this is one of the hottest (spicy) beers I’ve ever had Much enjoyed and recommended.

Dark in color, caramel-brown, dark ale. Not much of a head. Explosion of flavors. Starts with a sugar cookie, malty chocolate sweetness followed by a bite of pepper flavor and lingering aftertaste that grows throughout. Delicious! A perfect dessert. This is one of my favorites and I hope they bring it out again!

My new favorite. Hope it never goes away. Love the warmth it leaves. Hope it never goes away. Hint hint

Bottle shared by a friend on New Year’s Eve. Clear light brown pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco and pepper. Malty flavor with vanilla sweetness before cinnamon and chocolate kick in. Finishes with chile pepper, but not uncomfortably so. As someone who doesn’t like pepper beers, this one was better than expected.

Nose of coffee, marsh/seaweed. Taste and smell don’t seem to "match". This has a notes of pepper, cinnamon, dry cocoa powder. A very unique and affordable Lips of Faith ($5.50 bomber). It has a beautiful lingering spicy bitterness. Has a nice full body. Dry. spicy. yummy.

This beer gets high marks from me because it is a very unique brew and easily the best spice/pepper beer I’ve ever had. This is a dessert beer that is very rich and sweet and not as much spice as I was expecting. I can taste the peppers but don’t get any heat but the flavors are so balanced I don’t mind on bit.
