COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hola to a spiced up ale full of cocoa and ancho, guajillo, chipotle peppers. But don’t fear the heat, because plenty of caramel and chocolate malts bring a smooth, complex flavor. Scents of cinnamon when poured will have your saying "¡Ole For Mole!"

Sweet cinnamon spice aroma. Pours dark almost black with a thin quickly fading off white head. Light bodied. Smooth with a slight bitterness on the finish. Caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, some other spices. Very nice.

Interesting beer. Not one I could drink a lot of, but nice for a one off. Almost no head on top of a dark beer. Slightly sweet spicy smell. Initial taste is of chocolate which develops it’s spiciness when you swallow. Aftertaste of cinnamon, cumin, coriander and cloves. (K)

Bottle pours the part with a quick head that fades to a lacing cap. Strong cinnamon nose. Taste begins with sweetness and cinnamon before a quick flash of heat. Cinnamon and pepper linger after finish. Medium body.

Pickled roast aroma. Clear, darkish brown. Webby head. Sweet cinnamon dominates the front, slow-burn dried peppers take over the back. Not terrible, but a 3 oz sipping beer and that’s it. On tap, Brass Tap Midtown Tallahassee.

Bottle. Pours an almost cola brown with beige head. Aroma of slight spice and chocolate. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, and a decent amount of spiciness.

Berard (417) - Salem, New Hampshire, USA - APR 10, 2015
Bottle. Pours dark brown with a very light head. Mild chocolate aroma over very little carbonation. Looks thin for the style. Mild burn that isn't overwhelming. Mocha flavor I don't care for. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a brownish color with tan head. Spiced aroma of cinnamon and some hot pepper. Moderately spiced flavor; the peppers and cocoa carry through without overshadowing the rest of the malt flavors; slight warmth in the finish. Surprisingly good. Notes: Bottle from a bottle-share in LV

JDBaker11058 (1446) - Maryland, USA - APR 9, 2015
Appearance:medium light brown, pretty transluscent, with ruby edging; head is fizzy beige and gone quickly. Aroma: prominent cinnamon, light cocoa powder, graham cracker, cayenne pepper. Taste: watery hot chocolate (but cold, of course), with cinnamon, general pepper (without the heat), maybe some vanilla and caramel. Finish: lingering sweetness, slightly toasty. Notes: UGH. Just bloody awful. No body to this ’porter’ whatsoever. Flavors were okaaay, but there just wasn’t enough body to hold them up. And yet it was somehow overly sweet as well. Normally a pretty big fan of New Belgium, but their Lips of Faith series, while creative indeed, seems much more miss than hit. Bottle from Village Beer & Fine Wine, Rockville, Maryland.

22 oz bottle. Pours deep brown with a whitish head. Mole aromas: cocoa, chiles, aniseed. Flavor’s got the same stuff going on, and has some raisin and a little heat from the chiles. I really like the mole flavors, but it seems like they could have done a bit more with it.

Bottle. Peppers, cinnamon, and cocoa-caramel malt aroma. Dark brown with minimal head. Lightly sweet cinnamon-chocolate malt and light spicy pepper flavor. Light burn in the finish. Pretty tasty.
