COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hola to a spiced up ale full of cocoa and ancho, guajillo, chipotle peppers. But donít fear the heat, because plenty of caramel and chocolate malts bring a smooth, complex flavor. Scents of cinnamon when poured will have your saying "°Ole For Mole!"

Dark in color, caramel-brown, dark ale. Not much of a head. Explosion of flavors. Starts with a sugar cookie, malty chocolate sweetness followed by a bite of pepper flavor and lingering aftertaste that grows throughout. Delicious! A perfect dessert. This is one of my favorites and I hope they bring it out again!

Bottle shared by a friend on New Yearís Eve. Clear light brown pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco and pepper. Malty flavor with vanilla sweetness before cinnamon and chocolate kick in. Finishes with chile pepper, but not uncomfortably so. As someone who doesnít like pepper beers, this one was better than expected.

Nose of coffee, marsh/seaweed. Taste and smell donít seem to "match". This has a notes of pepper, cinnamon, dry cocoa powder. A very unique and affordable Lips of Faith ($5.50 bomber). It has a beautiful lingering spicy bitterness. Has a nice full body. Dry. spicy. yummy.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2013 This beer gets high marks from me because it is a very unique brew and easily the best spice/pepper beer Iíve ever had. This is a dessert beer that is very rich and sweet and not as much spice as I was expecting. I can taste the peppers but donít get any heat but the flavors are so balanced I donít mind one bit.

22 oz. bottle from Randallís. Pours a mostly clear browned amber with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of dried cocoa beans, cinnamon, nuts, and dried peppers. Flavor starts sweeter, with cocoa and caramel, and then gives way to the peppers. Light-bodied, with a sweet, dry mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Good, interesting beer.

Bottle; Pour is murky dark golden / amber with a modest fine bubbled off white head in this glass. Retention is poor, with modest lacing here. The nose is cinnamon, cocoa, caramel, and there is a hint of pepper here, but wasnít easy to find for me. The flavor profile shares the nose - itís fairly sweet with caramel, honey, cocoa, cinnamon, and here and there the peppers poke through - I think they could have done a bit more here. Otherwise; this is smooth drinker with a light hop bitterness near the finish. This is a nice brew, overall

Tap sample at the brewery. Clear brown/mahogany color with burgundy hues and minimal head. Pure fresh cocoa nibs aroma, with oatmeal raisin cookie and hazelnuts. Spicy chocolate flavor, chili, toffee, low bitterness, pleasant roasted malts and some fig notes. Light-med bodied, surprising and interesting.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2012 Pours dark and the cinnamon hits you in the nose right away. Smooth drinking with so many flavors combining at once. The peppers are not the last thing to be tasted coming in long after swallowing. Very interesting beer. I will have it again.
