UPDATED: DEC 9, 2012 Pours dark and the cinnamon hits you in the nose right away. Smooth drinking with so many flavors combining at once. The peppers are not the last thing to be tasted coming in long after swallowing. Very interesting beer. I will have it again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap: Extremely interesting. They should have changed the name to Cinnamon instead of cocoa. Clear brown with a light brown fizzy head. Aroma of dominantly cinnamon, sweet apples, apple pie. Flavors of cinnamon with a spicy feel in the aftertaste. Points for being interesting. More of a desser beer.

Has a weird vegetable like scent and some cinnamon and nutmeg. Almost like a tomato soup with a dash of cocoa. Taste is similar with a decent spice kick, not that bad.

Pours a dark brown color with an off white foamy small head. Notes of chili spices, dark chocolate, raisins, and dirt. Love the spicy, tingling mouthfeel. Good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle $8.49. Dark brown color with a minimal head, looks red up against the light. Smells pretty good like cinnamon mostly and a hint of cocoa. Tastes like cocoa, cinnamon, and has the slightest bit of heat from the peppers, spicy. The alcohol was pretty well hidden but maybe that is the peppers masking it. This was a pretty nice beer overall.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark leathery brown in the glass. Awsome aroma of cocoa, cinnamon, dried fruit and almonds. Very reminiscent of Mexican pastries. Flavor is basically the same as the aroma with the added slight residual heat from the peppers. Overall, an awesome brew...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap and 22oz bottle. Poured a dark brown with a small light tan head. The aroma is cocoa powder and cinnamon. The flavor is very complex. First cocoa dominates, then the spices begin to come through. There is some cinnamon and nutmeg as well as some cayenne pepper that leaves a tingly spice in the finish. Medium bodied, smooth, lightly carbonated beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at One-Eyed Bettyís. Pours a murky brown color with a nice frothy head that lingers. Aroma is a very odd mix of cocoa and jalepanos with hints of cinnamon and other spices. Taste is very interesting. Lots of cocoa up front and then the jalepeno pepper taste takes over a bit. It oddly works here. I never thought I would like those flavors together but I did. Whatís weird is you get the jalepeno taste without the heat. Pretty amazing. Finish is surprisingly smooth and leaves an interesting mix of cocoa, peppers, and caramel malt on the tongue. Definitely one of the most unique beers Iíve had. Not great but I very much enjoyed it.
