COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Say hola to a spiced up ale full of cocoa and ancho, guajillo, chipotle peppers. But don’t fear the heat, because plenty of caramel and chocolate malts bring a smooth, complex flavor. Scents of cinnamon when poured will have your saying "¡Ole For Mole!"

A nice dark brown to black look with a stout appearance. Aroma of heavenly chocolate cocoa. Initial sweetness of a rootbeer with.an addition of chipotlea. Followed with a lasting burn.

Apparently ’unhopped’ and spiced chocolate porter, with sticky, light beige, stable head and deep clear burgundy colour. The aroma is bizarre, but stunning and unlike any other beer aroma I sniffed so far: I get cocoa and caramel, lots of cinnamon, but also weird odours of coconut, ladies’ perfume and dried chilli peppers - still, the whole concoction works very well for me. The taste is pure fun: sweet but not cloying at first, caramel, marzipan, lots of chocolate, roasted coconut; a soft and lean malt body, caramelly and very chocolatey, supports an array of spiciness, cinnamon again but then, even before the end, a lively chilli burn comes up, tingling and prickling in the throat and in that sense the most original replacement of hop bitter I could think of. The chilli heat lasts for a while but still fits into the whole and I do like spicy food, so it does not disturb me at all. I cannot but describe this beer as fun! Even the label breathes joy de vivre - nothing too serious here, at first sight... Strange, enticing, original and experimental - could this be the most innovative beer of the Leuven Innovation Beer Festival? Perhaps... To me personally, it was without doubt the most pleasant surprise of the festival. I want more of this!

Small head fast gone over dark brown, ruby-shot beer. Nettles, brandy, candy sugar, chocolate, red wine, undergrowth, pimentos. Sweet cacao, brambles, alcohol, some fusels, chipotles, cinnamon. Fiery, burning MF - but like delayed action curry - heat. Well-bodied. Not one to finish the bottle on your own - unless with spicy-hot food.

Bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival 2015. Quite surprising to feel spiciness in a beer, although not too strong. But it is well balanced with a touch of sweetness too. Nice.

Sample @ Leuven innovation Beer Festival #1 - Color:deep dark black beer with no carbonation and small brown head. Smell: domination of cinnamon and notes of roasted malt and cocoa. Taste: cinnamon domination with good body on mouth. Very nice palate and, smoothy chocolate notes. Easy drinkable for the 9 ABV! Finish caramel. Aftertaste: spicy finish, difficult to describe. Prickle on the mouth... very strange sensation. Some good idea like the palate and the chocolate notes and some bad as the spicy and overdosage of cinnamon.

Had some hopes on this one, and it’s not bad, but couldn’t make it really come trough for me. A bit of a to watery mouthfeel. The taste is pretty good, but had other expectations.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled 650 ml. bottle + full tasting glass from bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Dark brown,… Nose is very big huge cacao, chocolate cereal, cheap chocolate, pastry & more cacao. Taste is lightly bitter cacao upfront, followed by oodles of sweet cacao, desert, quite sweet, even more cacao, light liqueur candy, faint boozy & pleasant mild chili burn in the back, good pleasant head,… Would have been amazing if not for the mouthfeel, this is rather light, a bit thin cacao body & this needed to be very thick.

On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served displaying a deep, nearly opaque, brown color, with maybe a bit of ruby highlighting, and a modest layer of light tan head foam that reduced expeditiously to a thin ring & film, but left a good deal of clingy, web-like lacing on the glass. The nose offered just a touch of roastiness, with cocoa, hints of caramel & toffee sweetness, a little nuttiness, and a touch of prune as it warmed. Medium bodied, the taste initiated some spice as cinnamon, then "back of the throat" pepper that connected with a medium earthy bitterness, the aroma notes, and lively carbonation that also accentuated the moderate," lingering to finish", peppery heat, although the 9% seemed subdued. Not a big pepper person, but I really liked this one.
