Fresh pickings for some lickings. This beauty of an ale boasts a fresh crop of cascade, centennial, and amarillo hops. We’re talking from vine to brew within 24 hours fresh. Citrusy. Soft fruit tones. Fresh hop IPA.

"good looking with a nice frothy head. soft feel, and relatively soft flavor, though the accumulating bitter aftertaste gets to be a lot by the end. all citrus with a touch of malt to blalance, but like i said, still soft. liked it, but in a direct comparison, not quite as good as the cheaper Ranger, but worth a try."

Bottle: Poured a copper color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of fresh green hoppy notes with light citrus undertone sis quiet pleasant. Taste is also dominated by fresh green hops notes with light citrus notes and dry caramel malt is barely detectable. Bitterness is present but well balanced. Body is average for style with good carbonation. Not earth shattering but well brewed for what it is.

A steady pour into the New Belgium globe glass produces a one-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is a nice amber color that is quite clear and shows a touch of copper to it when held up to the light. The aroma is herbal, a touch grassy, and has perhaps a touch of pine and citrus to it at first. There is lots of dried grass, dried hay like, and dried herbal notes to this beer; at first I thought this was malt derived somehow, but it is more than that, and in the end is likely mostly hop derived. As the beer warms up more of a citrus / fruit focus comes out; lychee, floral citrus notes, tangelo zest, and even some kumquat are all quite noticeable now.

The beer is a bit cold to start out with, the hop character is defintiely dominant with notes of lemon zest, bitter herbal notes, and some pine like character being noticeable up front. The finish has a lingering citrus character to it that leans towards grapefruit zest, Meyer lemon zest, as well as having a green, slightly herbal character that suggests of green wild flowers and weedy grasses. The malt character plays a supporting role here, it accentuates the hay like notes and grassiness, but also contributes a soft, caramelized, whole grain cracker character to the flavor. The body has a soft fullness to it that is a bit creamy textured, though this is certainly still quaffable enough; it does have some chewiness to it though.

This is a nice beer, as with most Fresh Hop beers, this has more grassy notes than I usually prefer in a hop focused beer; having said that this does not get raw or astringent really, which is definitely nice. An enjoyable beer.

A clear orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is juicy citrus and pine. The flavor is smooth and slightly sweet fruit, malt, and pine.

On tap at Taco Mac- Suwanee (johns creek). Pours a hazy amber with a frothy white head. Aroma of grass, sweet malts, pine, and citrus. A little lighter than I expected. Not quite as bitter either. Pine, citrus, earth, and sweet malts hit the palate. Pretty good but not my favorite. Light and refreshing all the same. A solid ipa.

Thin head that dissipates quickly. A bit too bitter for my taste, it interferes with the aromatics. Hint of pine resin.

Draught. Pours a mostly clear copper color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is maltier than I expected with a lot of pepper on the nose. Taste is slightly bitter, but also has that rather peppery taste. OK, but not a huge fan of it.
