Bomber from The Davis Beer Shoppe in Davis, CA. Pours orange tinged gold with a creamy off-white head. The nose is so full of so many different hops. Floral is a fair description, but inadequate. Full bodied. Flavor is floral/perfume, citrus, and something like earthy/resin. The hop load is fantastic. Mild burn and lots and lots of sensory impingments. Maybe some sort of unusual fruit towards the finish. This is just great ale.

Draft sample. Poured a clear copper color with an average creamy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus and earthy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Bottle. Pours with a completely clear golden hue with a large and tight, just slightly off-white head. Good retention and very nice lace. Aromas of citrus, canned peaches, herbal and lightly dank, grapefruit rind. Grassy. Light sweet caramel notes. Lots of resin, very sticky. Flavors are a touch husky and grassy, light grainy notes. Medium to light bitterness (overall bitter balance). Hop flavors are shockingly muted (even when compared to the nose). Light floral character. Medium to lively bubbles. A bit of an astringency. Light bodied. A bit of an oily/resiny viscosity. Okay.

Tap at Whole Foods. Orange pour. Aroma is so loaded with fresh hops! Resinous, tropical fruit. And the hops carry right into the flavor. So fresh and vibrant.
