This has an appearance and aroma of a quad. Candied sugar, dark fruit, wheat. It slightly falls short of the greats. A very slight artificial sugar flavor keeps this from being exceptional. It is a good beer nonetheless. One of NB’s better offerings.

Rated on 7-13-2011. This bottled beer has a medium sized fizzy ivory head, copper transparent body, fizzy, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is malt, caramel and fruity. The taste is sweet, malt, caramel, fruity, and lightly tart. The mouthfeel is lively and this beer is medium bodied. This is a very tasty beer with a nice warming effect. The various flavors blend together very well thus making for an enjoyable beer to drink and rate. It is worth trying and a beer I would drink again.

22 oz bottle at home. Pours a clear amber brown color with a small quickly disappearing off white head. The aroma and flavor have an overall fruity character, raisins and dark fruits, yeast, caramel and additional sweet malty notes, alcohol is pretty well hidden, but does warm slightly.

22oz bottle, shared by somebody after Jackie-O’s 8th Anniversary.. Mostly clear dark brown, more red color. Thin off-white head. Couple loose dots of lace. Smooth, soft carbonation. More dry finish. Bigger body. More sweet in the end. Dark tropical fruit, light nuttiness, some toastiness, raisins. Ok grand cru. A bit soft, and bit hot. Not complex, all dark malt, lightly hot.

Bottle. Thanks to a trader. Pours nice deep chestnut with a medium, frothy, white head. Aroma has nice esters, raisins, plums, hazelnuts, a touch of coffee. Medium carbonation, fine dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has lovely caramel, dark Belgian sugar, liqourice, raisins, plums. Lovely elegance. Good bitterness with this soft coffee note. Warming finish. Top class.

Refrigerated brown bomber compliments of adnielson poured into a tulip. Pours clear dark amber with medium amber bottom highlight and medium light brown head. Dark fruit aroma, medium carbonation, medium/light body, and some small bubble lacing. Taste is some dark fruit with some hops. Easy to drink, but hoped for more good flavor.

From a 2011 bottle. Pours almost clear reddish brown with a very thin white head. Smells like malt, raisin, and some sweetness. Smooth feel. Tastes malty, with some syrup, citrus, and light hops. Medium body and low carbonation. Thanks beerandblues2!
